My crew and I are sponsored by DORBA for our dirt jumps off katy jackson trails in Dallas. We get money from them to build and maintain our dirt jumps! Its awesome!

Nice. Are you riding a hard tail or a full suspension?

Most of the people i ride with rep the Richarson Bike Mart store. Barry Bishop is our trail boss and head bike mechanic there, he is an excellent mechanic! if you have something that needs to be fixed you can count on RBM to fix it right!

Did you realize you were a stones throw away from a DORBA trail when we were doing your suspension?

Got a full suspension 29' Yeti and a Moots CX. I used to race road and cx but with family and whatnot its a bit harder. I'm always down for hitting some trails in the area.

Hey folks, figured I should subscribe to this thread since I live in the Big D and want to keep up with the happenings around town. Is there any sort of weekly gathering around town? And what/where are these trails up around Texoma that I see mentioning of?

Those trails are likely on private land and you would be trespassing. If you want to go off-road do it where you are 100% certain you have permission to be there. When people go where they aren't allowed it negatively affects the perception of all people that off-road.

Hahaha. Yeah you have to watch out for the copper heads out there. I have gotten lost a couple times also out there when i first started riding out there. Its not that big of a park so it was easy to find my way out. I spend all of my time there at the jumps now though.

Sounds like we need to set up a Texoma meetup/camp trip. Anyone opposed to winter camping?? Upsides to camping in the cold... No bugs (mosquitoes) and no snakes!

Cool. I think that you would probably dust me on the trails then. You probably have a lot better stamina than me. Im also on a hard tail, i would love to get a full suspension, i just want other stuff more right now. Like sliders for my truck!

Welcome! First off we will need to see pictures of your truck so that we can ID you while we are out on the streets. 2nd, the trails in Texoma that i have seen are very easy! Im pretty sure i could have gotten my GF's stock rav 4 out there to the beach from those trails, maybe not onto the beach. Im sure we can find some more difficult ones if we try hard enough! haha. 3rd, no weekly meet ups. Just monthly for now. With the holiday season i will be surprised if we meet up again before January. But Texoma looks like it would be a good time to go around the end of this month.

Most of it is army engineering land so you can do what ever you want on it. There are motorcycle/atv trails all over that place.

Oh yeah, I totally understand that and agree. Just wasn't sure if there was another park out there that I wasn't aware of.

Ok, this is the best picture I have at the moment. I've got a pair of Rigid Duallys and 20" SR bar behind the grill. Just got 265/75/16 Falken AT3W tires installed on Friday, so the tires are different than what is in the picture.
