I'd love to have a nice looking Tacoma that's dependable and would be worth the money to lift, bigger tires, new rims, etc. but worried 120k might be too much to put all that money into? It's in good shape with no previous accidents and I know tacomas last forever but just a little worried..
Any feedback and opinions would be much appreciated!

If the price reflects the mileage I'd not worry about the miles. I have 175,000 on my 07 and wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a cross country trip. I wouldn't worry much about the drive train, but you are approaching the miles where small stuff is going to go bad. My shocks were gone at about 125,000 and that isn't a cheap job.

    Welcome to tacomaworld.
Have you tried searching high milage tacoma's here on tacomaworld.com? :goingcrazy:

Obviously if you have the funds to buy a new tacoma with low mileage before starting mods than do that.

Otherwise figure how many miles you put on each year, then assume the truck will make it to 200 or 250k.. then ask YOURSELF is it worth the money for that many years.

That's just getting broken in for a Tacoma, haha. Depends on the price of the truck. I just got a great deal on an 05 DCLB with 148k miles that was bone stock. I'm not worried about longevity at all, in fact I plan on having it for a while.

No vehicles with high mileage are without problems but I have found the Tacomas to be relatively easy to fix, find parts for, and even (with some forum help) diagnose issues.

The downside is that a 4x4 does hold its value. I got mine with 70k and I'm not worried about major disasters for a long while.
