Although, if the quotes for a new boiler I just got are the industry standard, I won't be buying bottles of anything nice for awhile.
    $9k for a boiler for a 1250 sq ft house:eek:
Getting quotes from another company on Monday.

Yikes. I spent about 4000-4500 installed for mine 8 yrs ago. Things go up but I don't see it doubling in that time and my house is about that size.

Shop around, that sounds outrageous. I would think you should be in the $5k range give or take. What type of fuel is it running on?

    Wow.

I seem to recall whole-house on-demand boilers, the wall-mounted kind selling for around $3k, FWIW.

Oil. I was guessing the $5k range too. I did a search on the type of boiler they wanted to sell me and online 5 different places have it for $2100. So nearly $7k in labor?? If so, I sure got in the wrong line of work.

Not unless they're replacing all your lines, tank, and everything..MAYBE.

$4500 tops is what mine was in 2008 or 2009. Same size house within 100 square ft and I needed a small one because my basement is not full size.

Cut pour early today so I could change the oil in my FJ and install my Caliraised amber pods. Got rid of the switch that came with the harness and wired them to a mictuning switch instead. 20161116_154452.jpg20161116_155035.jpg

I think I always felt this way but never could put it into words until I met my wifes family. My FIL used to say "The reason mexican food used all those spices to cover up the fact that they are using bad meat" and/or "if the meat tasted good then they wouldn't need all those spices".
Hope all goes well for your pops!
Looks good. Now get rid of the silver wings at the ends of your bumper!

OK brilliant local people where can you think of to get a good sleeping bag? Might be too late to order online. I tried thinking of all the normal places.
