Have been eyeballing the crap out of the Caliraised kit...the install looks pretty straightforward but I'm a little sketch on the wiring myself. My hang up is that I would like to swap the included switch with something like the mictuning switch...to get the oem switch look. That looks tough to me..I see all this mention of add-a-fuse and finding the right fuse slot to use and soldering wires back together. What happened to just using liquid electrical tape to put the wires back together :-(

I also keep watching these dang videos on Rigid lights vs. everyone else's lol...I'm not spending $900 on a LED bar though. Is the Caliraised stuff somewhat comparable to the higher priced bars?

 

with LED bars you generally get what you pay for if not in light output in construction and longevity.

 

Im also confused because all I see is the stealth bumper brackets for 31.5-32" bars...so that's the only option and majority of the companies don't make a 31.5 or 32" bar...lots of 30 inchers out there

Cali Raised seems to have a pretty good reputation on here which is why I'm going with them. They are also kicking off a group buy on Friday. The same kit from Rigid is $600 more expensive, which to me is ridiculous for lighting.

 

They have a good reputation as a cheap alternative that isn't crap opposed to other alternatives, doesn't make them the best but if it works for you and it's the price range you want to be in, have at it.

 

I can't speak for other brands but I like my cali raised lights, I have two sets of their 2x3 pods. One set on rago ditch mounts and the amber set in my lower grill. They are wired to an air in board switch that fits very nicely.

 

Totally agree with this. Personally I'd rather plot down the cash for a smaller quality light vs. a bigger light with less output.

 

Who all can help me tomorrow install my bumpers?
