Diminished insulation capacity would be my concern here but I think you can get away with r13 (what will fit in a Sheetrock/2x4 rafter chord/plywood sandwich) in Alabama lol
I wouldn't store your gold bullion up there tho....too heavy...

Been married a long time, so only need half a Cialis tub....:rimshot:

In all seriousness, the tub came out from downstairs when we renovated and when the daughter goes to uni in a couple of years, I will get a dog and this will be the dog bath.....

Attics can get really hot. Make sure there are no candles (christmas stuff) or crayons (kids stuff) etc. that might be damaged by high heat.
Structurally there should not be any concern if it is just a few boxes or totes.

Why does everyone hate on gas yard tools these days? I can take care of my yard all summer for $10 in gas.

I think you're confusing CO which is produced by internal combustion engines and CO2 which is what humans and mammals exhale.

The article only focuses on CO2, engines emit CO as well. Its easy to manipulate gas emissions when they don't label all the gases emitted

Yeah, i do. My point was that you can buy ALOT of gas for what one of those new battery powered mowers cost.

Plus, you can buy a replacement CO² spewing engine from Harbor Freight for about $100.

Hello, I am going to reach out to you because I need some help. I try to believe that I can fix some things around my house but by no means claim to be great and also know what my limits are. I'm always willing to learn and take advice and try but also know when to pay the professional. Here it is and don't laugh because you think it's super easy or dumb but I just want to make this right. So my wife and I have a house that's 20 yrs old and original wood front door and glass in it. We live in a circle and our house is the main one the you see when you come up the street. Well, the previous owner (original owner) was dangerous that he thought he could do ANYTHING but was always wrong. You used paint and stain at different times and has peeled and looks like Ray charles painted the front. That being said, we had a storm and had hail and got the house repainted. The painter said he could "make it better". i said ok. I know that they were going to polish a turd but it was at the end of the day still a turd. They did light sanding and painted. Much better but I don't like the outcome. If you saw what it is now vs in the paint, 180' turn. That being said, I want to strip or sand it down to the original wood and start from scratch.

is anyone here able to help me on proper steps to take paint, primer and/or anything else to get to the raw wood and then start fresh? Either pm me or post here for advise if someone else might need the help. I can buy whatever sander, products is necessary for the proper prep. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have only posted once or twice pics and can try again if need be. Thanks again and PLEASE don't laugh...

Holy cow that's gonna be a lot of work. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that but if I determined that a light sand/prime/paint wouldn't do the trick I'd prolly replace the siding rather than commit to that misery lol

Is it the door or siding that's messed up?

Well that would be a horse of a different color lol
If it's just the door chemically strip and scrape that sob and sand the hell out of it using progressive grits 100-160-220.
