I want my money back. I don't know how long it will take for 40 snorkels to be sold.

    Sorry to say..

Max should front the 40x$335 and deal with selling them himself, rather than holding up 60 people!

That's what you said in the first GB. Why the hell did you do this second one?

    This.

Nice to have an update finally.

I agree the "have to sell all 100" thing is bullshit. We're over 6 weeks passed the "worst case scenario" delivery date and now the rules change.. I would not have participated in the GB if I had not been misled.

I also find it tough to believe he doesn't know the name of the vessel or have any tracking info. I just had my first shipment by ocean freight from China to Canada and it's not that hard... I did not even ask for tracking info but was provided with vessel name, container number, tracking website, eta at port, and an email alert the day it landed at port. Also did not place that order until after snorkels were supposed to be delivered, and it will be here before my snorkel.

I appreciate you coming on, giving an update and seamingly coming straight with people but...

If in fact you knew the deal with shipping being reliant on 100% upfront payment why misinform everyone? I got in on this group buy because of the little bit of savings over the online option (as the Canadian $ sucks ass and every bit helps) and because there was certainty that these would be out and being installed by now. I'm now looking at a much higher cost for this snorkel as I've put off a run to the border (9-10 hour round trip) for as long as I could. Another trip just for this is quite costly.

I don't like spending more money than I have to but I really despise being bullshited and lied to.

I think he said the vessel is sitting at the port in CA. But he cant pick them up until all 100 have been sold?

Who knows, he has outright lied at this point about the OCT 1 at the latest and the whole selling a 100 of them before any can be released, you cannot take him at his word any longer. The shitty thing is several of us put 35s on our trucks with the belief that these would come in some what soon and they haven't. I guess I'll order one from OK and sell the one from the group buy whenever it comes in, which at this rate will be the middle of next year.

I was in based on the "oct 1st worst case scenario". It's gonna take a while to sell 40 more. Especially if anyone sees how it's been going the past month. No updates, misleading info. If it's possible I'll just take my money back.

The lack of actual shipping information is troubling, for all we know they haven't even been ordered.

Sounds plausible if it's really an airflow policy issue. I'm not sure I believe that though.

What I am sure of is 40 more people aren't going to join in here after seeing the experience that the first 60 had.

E-mail sent to Airflow Nov 3rd.
    They responded Nov 9th:
I responded on the 9th thanking them for their time and on the 10th, sent mahalotaco this:

I hope nothing serious has happened to Max, and I hope he is not avoiding the forums because of this group deal. I didn't care about getting the snorkel in Oct or Nov since I won't be home until around Christmas. Really, only one post by Max really upset me and that was when he promised an update in one day, and he came back with a "bump" and no info. Any updates to the OP looks like more like shit trying to get more people to buy than giving us more info. It's disappointing really.

Anyways, it looks like more silence and waiting. I have no doubt Max will ship these as soon as he gets them (and I was assuming maybe that's why he was offline for a couple of days, but now I don't think that's the case), but it would be comforting if he was around and said something like, "Hey guys, I am trying to contact my supplier, but I haven't heard anything back yet, or they don't have the info I am requesting.", or even, "Sorry guys, I don't have an update yet."

EDIT: Apparently I am a little late to the party... LOL

It sounds to me like he's trying to deflect anger/attention from himself by saying it's an Airflow policy, if I had to guess, the hang up is on his end and not theirs, you guys might be angry email bombing the wrong people.

Also, in Max's original post today, he said he would have an update from Airflow this afternoon. I think its well past "afternoon" in CA time/Max's time.. (its 9pm ET)
    Lets hear "the update" @mahaloTaco
