I'd rather not think of all the $ spent :(
I like that trailer you have. I still tent on the ground and use AP. But when the 4 wheeler goes it eats all that room. I'm still torn between on the truck and a trailer. Also looking at teardrops and VMI stuff. I'm getting older and that ladder seems blah. Plus the lady friend is constantly waking me up thinking she hears bears (it's me snoring).

    Lol

teach her how to pee in a cup... wear ear plugs...
    and shoot a gun ;)

Or if truly in bear country...
surround yer camp with a high voltage wire.
And store your food up in the trees.

But mostly... have and know how to use a gun.

It's more likely an evil human will be more threatening, then a bear.
Bears generally don't want you... just the food you have.
And they can smell that 10 miles away. Lol

I love the idea of a trailer. However the truck already struggles with hills when loaded down. A trailer would only be worse. Plus I can't tow at 60mph in the dirt... with just the truck loaded I can still boogie.

Lol, I don't mind if they nibble on me while asleep. I've slept with them in my camp. I don't sleep as light as I use to. The wires haven't had good success up here. I've done minimalist camping my whole life and fine with it. I'm just looking to be spoiled now.

I just don't like waking up 4 times a night to her waking me up to "guard her" peeing. lol Both of my daughters shoot great but they're moving on now. Leaning toward your trailer set up (or the aussie style) or the little tear drops with the outdoor kitchens!

Having a trailer means you can bring more crap you don't need.
or having an even bigger cluster fark !? Lol

If you teach her to pee in a cup...
then you can attach a hose to that and hang that out the tent door.
Then you will never again be interrupted with yer deep sleep snoring ! Lol

Can't do a roof rack on a reg cab, and I don't want any more weight high up. Looking for bed storage solutions, or container recommendations

You ain't lyin. He has a awesome little set-up. I would recommend taking a look at his trailer-build thread sometime, it's legit and EAF to the max :)

If you don't do a trailer you can do a carrier that goes in your receiver. I made one just for vacations, you could make one that is lifted a little higher than the receiver so it doesn't get in the way as bad on the trail.
