So I have a few questions...

It seems the rules have changed for this group buy. @mahaloTaco could you post some sort of reference in regards to who actually made the new requirement that an ADDITIONAL 40 orders must be purchased? I ask this as what if the same thing happens again and then you need 150 or 200? To me there are a lot of missing holes here in the communication without any solid confirmation of what the current rules are. I understand you got a job and what not and the your time is pretty stretched, but is it safe to assume you have over $20,000 in TW MEMBERS FUNDS???!!!!!

I know I have not asked to be part of this group buy, although at one time it was tempting. I dont see any good faith that you would keep your word considering the limited info provided for me to add my name to this list of folks who very well might of been taken advantage of. Another thing, what if this GB goes into another year? Is there some established time line if all else fails and you NEVER reach 100???

MODS? I understand that this group buy did not go as originally intended, but are there methods to intervene here? There are 60+ members whom may very well may not get their money back or the product anytime soon, especially under the new stipulations. My lasting question to you from a TW standpoint, can this become a legal matter if these are never delivered?

I guess I am surprised that something such as this with this many orders can have no accountability and just hearsay for however long...To those who ordered, I REALLY hope something can be done here for you fine folks.

Your guess might possibly be true. But I were Airflow, I would do everything I could to protect my product, my brand and my reputation.
I would venture to guess, that if a bunch of us contacted Airflow, then they would at least try to protect their brand.

I dunno, the way he explains things makes it sound like to me he may not have even ordered them yet, there seems to be only a cryptic progress update when people start getting angry about the lack of true updates. Like for instance now they MIGHT be sitting in port, and the fact that they didn't provide shipping information on a $20000 merchandise shipment? That sounds fishy as hell the me.

I was on the fence for one...I have even contemplated putting this thread in my sig. Without more concrete info I cant in good conscience do that though.

can we complain to Airflow to change their policy, and let us (as customers) receive their product?

Reputation is going downhill for Max and Airflow, at this point.. at least in this TW thread

Unfortunately their response will likely be the same as it was before when they said the issue is between us and the supplier. By all means go ahead and try to contact Airflow. Maybe ask if a large shipment was sent to the port of Los Angeles recently? They may not be allowed to release that information, but something along those lines might be worth a try.

    @mahaloTaco

I'm not trying to jump on the bandwagon of people who are understandably pissed off but honestly after reading your long awaited update, that only came after WAY too much pressure was applied to get one, I'm pretty pissed off myself.

You're taking time out of your life to hook members up and save us some money and thats kick ass. I appreciate that. And I'm sure you're beyond stressed out over this and that sucks but a big part of that is completely on you.

When I signed on to this group buy the deal was 50 paid- 50 shipped PERIOD. When we hit 50, we hit 54 or 57 pretty quickly and you announced that gb was extended to 100. Sweet deal bro- more members getting hooked up. But never, at any point, did you state that the first 50 snorkles being shipped out were contingent on the second group of 50 being sold first. You made that decision for us. I guarantee that if you'd asked the first 50 people how they felt about that, we would have unanimously said "Hell fuckin no im not waiting, that wasn't the deal." Yes it's "just a snorkel" and what it's going on is "just a truck", but as soon as I paid you for it, it became MY snorkel that I gave you MY hard earned money for and I want MY snorkel on MY truck because it's mine now. You had no right to make the decision for all of us that we'd have to wait on an additional 50 people before we got what we paid for. You made that decision behind our backs and I feel like it's on you to take care of that decision without holding our shit hostage. I even pulled two of my friends into this gb to make the first 50 so now I'm an asshole too, and that's bullshit. You made the decision, you take care of it.
With where this thread is at now it may take another 6 months or a year to fill the remaining 40 spots. Who the hell is gonna sign up when the wait time is indefinite? Nobody.
Whether you have to front the $ and sell them when you can or talk to airflow and tell em you fucked up, I don't know, but I'm not gonna settle for "wait till who the fuck knows when" to get what I paid for when that wasn't the deal I made when I sent you my $.
I don't know what you need to do to make this right bro, but you NEED to make this right with us.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
For a shipment this size a freight forwarder would have been used so it's not exactly like the automatic shipping confirmation you get with FedEx, etc. That said. .. in my experience it's even better.

Even if the ship is in port, it has to be cleared to unload the containers, get the "Airflow" container cleared through customs and Homeland's tap-dance. You're coming into a holiday week for all intents so that's not going to speed things up. I'm sure that Max is working on getting it straightened out and he'll make it right.

I just want to say before people start coming after the final 40 to pay up that I opted out over a month ago due to my truck needing a frame replacement after an accident. Not sure why I am still on the list. I'm projecting to have the SilverStreak back on the road by the end of this month and by that time if the issue of unpaid 100 snorkels is not resolved I may be financially stable to purchase one to move things along.
