Thank you! After much searching it appears that may be the best spot, despite the inconvenience required when plugging in the remote.

What PSI do you normally run them at and what is the lowest you'd run off-road? Have an appointment to get 295's on tomorrow.

35 is where they usually are. Long road trips I take then to 40.

With my weight 18 is the lowest I'd go. Plenty of a squish footprint there for me. @duvinclunk

Nice. I'll keep that in mind when playing around with pressures. Picking a tire has taken too long, and I'm still not 100% sold on the KO2's but they're the ones I can find the most pros for me. Would really love the Toyo Open Country R/T's but really worry about their lack of winter/ice traction...plus they don't have good 16 inch sizes. Hopefully the KO2's are a good choice.

Yea they're not perfect for me either but they've not let me down yet. It's a good tire. Hard to find one that does it all!

That's a simple decision for where you live if you want to do any semi serious wheeling. 2nd gens are big as it is in some spots.

If just an occasional weekend camp night here and there and lots of towing. Tundra.

That's where im back and forth. I have nothing to tow at the moment, a side by side is on the list and jet ski. But I don't get offroad like I used to with work. Thats part of the reason I sold the 4runner, I just don't get to sneak away like I used to, plus low power and shitty mpgs motivated it more.

There is also the potential Im getting shipped to TexASS in the next year for work.

Rumor has it Toyota is supposedly announcing the next Tundra in Feb (insert skeptisism here). But if so and it matches up to current market, I'll buy that SOB before it hits the lots.

But you bring a strong point on the size and occasional camping and outdoors. Plus the Tundra gives room to grow.

You should definately go test out a new 6.2 chevy or gmc for shits. That thing has me pulling away from the Tundra and I hate that.

We have a local who switched to a tundra from his 4.0 2nd gen. Says it doesn't get any better has mileage towing and overall misses his 2nd gen. Just food for thought.

Another guy pulls his sxs all the time. I've had my truck and a trailer full of bikes with mine and still wouldn't get a tundra for that.

I knokw I don't need a Tundra to tow what I have planned.

My biggest pull to the fullsize vs Tacoma is space/comfort, the power, and on any other brand besides the tacoma the power to mpg ratio.

I don't need a big truck. I find it stupid people dd them. Only worth it if you have something to tow and often. Or working with it a lot.

I love my 1st gens. Do everything I need and go everywhere. About as versitle as it comes. 2/3rd gen if you need more room or a tad bit more towing. My dads tows shit pretty good

And if I did get a tow pig. It would be a 96-01 dodge 5 speed.

It wouldn't be a DD. Lol my 2500HD work truck is a DD.

I still am fond of the 1st gens, a double cab would satisfy most needs still. I just have a power itch I need to scratch. Lol maybe I need to follow in @shipps steps and get a sti and tacoma.

As much as I enjoy my duramax I miss my 99 Cummins. Great motor, the rest of the truck I don't care for though

he just has a wrx. Which really i think is better, not as harsh a ride and plenty fun. Especially when you're swapping between it and a truck ha

God i hat duramax's haha what a PITA to work on. Better then a powerstroke though.

You're right though. Nothing special about the dodges of that era. My first work truck was a 98 5speed with 320k on it or something crazy haha was a hoot to drive and tow with. But yea, wouldn't want to spend most of your time driving in it.

different boost delivery im sure for different power band. Same reason why if you swap all the stock STI parts to a wrx or FXT it makes more power then a stock STI haha

Yeah kinda funny how that works lol. I noticed Ty's STI spooled a bit more quickly, but the VF52 seems to work well with the WRX 5 speed. Carries the power throughout the longer gears without falling off too badly. After a tune anyways lol.
