    Ok SO, I have bought a 09 tacoma 4x4 v6. It did NOT come with fogs. There is a switch blank where the fog light button usually is. I just have the black cups where the fog lamps should be. So ive popped out the blank and there was no wiring clipped into the back of the blank and didnt see any with a flashlight in behind. The two blanks next to it had wires to them. Locking diff and 400W inverter?? I see the truck does have the two plugs setup by the bumper holes for the fog lamps. The question im wondering is since i have the fog lamp plugs wired in, is the switch wiring there too somewhere?.. do i have to run wires to the firewall for the switch? OR does anyone know if theyre maybe tucked in behind the console inside somewhere.

    Thanks!

    The wiring is already there for most trucks. Its just a matter if searching if its there.

    You will need a relay, fuse, and foglights

    @ramonortiz55
    ok ill have to search i suppose, not too sure where abouts i should be looking for this thing. When installing the relay, are they a universal relay? or does it have to be a tacoma specific relay to fit into the fuse box under the hood?

    The relay will have to be a fog relay from the dealer.

    Check also, some people have reported to have a relay in there already.

    The wiring will be tucked away and coiled up in tape somewhere behind the radiator, radiator supports, or behind one of the fog lights. I was able to see mine by shining a light down there from the top of the engine bay. Others have had to remove their skid plate and kinda feel and peek around.

    @ramonortiz55 Yeah i looked in the box there is no relay. But i do have the plugs for the fogs wired up to both spots coiled up beside the rad. Im just looking for the wiring into the console inside the truck. Thats what i cant seem to find. popped off the switch blank and dont see them there.

    if the wiring is there coiled up, it will be inside the console. You might have to fish around behind the switch blank.

    @ramonortiz55 hmm ok, Maybe when i goto the dealer to get a relay i can see if the parts guy or someone has any clue where that thing would be hiding. Thanks for your help! If not ill probably hit princess auto and get one of their full light harness kits. I ordered some of those switches from air on board. Look to be pretty good fitting and clean install. I dont understand why if Toyota goes to the trouble to wire up the fog lamps almost entirely why they wouldnt just include them. When i asked the dealer about getting the fog lamps from them they said they dont have an accessories department and it would cost roughly 1000$ for them to get me stock fog lights. Ridiculous really.

    You can get OEM quality fog lights off Ebay. I got mine for $100 a set.

    @ramonortiz55 yeah up here in canada its like 100 bucks plus 60 shipping plus a month and a half wait. Ill probably make up my own setup of rigid lights or something. I just hope that if the wiring to the fogs is there that the wiring to the switch is also hiding somewhere. It looked pretty empty behind that switch blank.

    These are the two connectors behind the right two blanks. The blank where the oem fog switch usually is didn't have any wiring. are either of these for fogs?

    It was stuck to the back of where the locking diff button usually goes. hopefully it is then I don't need to run shut through the firewall. I won't know until I get the parts I need I suppose

    SO that clip IS the fog lamp wiring. Just stuck to whatever blank was there. I added new fog lights to the truck!

    Looks sweet. How were the fogs themselves to install, and cost?

    @ABA180

    Took me about an hour and a half to mount and hook up the switch.
    Got the led pods on Amazon for 35$. The two middle screws on the cover of the led pod come out, screw them through the holes on the bracket back into the pod and the lights are mounted to the bracket. Then you slide the bracket in the bumper hole. behind the bumper Put two bolts in the sides of the truck part of the bumper and they bolt in place. I soldered on two clips from an old HID kit so they clip right into the tacoma fog plugs clean. Got the mounts for around 80 bucks.
