Gotcha! do you think the width of the perfect squeeze will fit a Garmin Montana 650? the thickness is about 1.4 inches.

Also ordered. i wanted to get two, but it might be interesting when two vents can only go up and down.

Have you tried having the vent angled at the driver before installing the mount? tends to get super hot in SoCal :p

We've had some moto guys use it with a Montana but not sure on the 650 part. The posts are .75" tall but the PS grips like beast. If it didn't work I'd be willing to make you some taller posts if you find they're necessary.

My plan is to steal the closer passenger vent.. Still within reach.. and they should be honored to sit in the Taco.. AC is an extra charge..

You can install it at any angle of rotation. Moves the position of the ram ball, but that's not a big deal.

@socalktk - That's one of the prototypes. So far it's working well but we do a lot of testing since these mounts get used on motorcycles, often in racing conditions, so I like to test extensively. I'm hoping to have it available by December.

Earliest I'll have one ready will be after Thanksgiving. I'll keep you posted. How was the water crossing on Mojave?

These were from the Afton crossing, at the end of the Mojave on the west side.

Hell yeah. Bought one as soon as I got home. Now I can mount my Garmin back in the truck. Totally unnecessary on Guam, but I got used to it in my Xterra w/factory Garmin mount and I kinda miss it. Can't stand suction cups, plus the Guam sun destroys anything/everything plastic within months.
