jacked it up and checked em with a screw driver between the control arm and spindle and they are nice and tight, still replacing them obviously but seem good. found this chart for recalled vins too, my truck isn't on it, just shy of the VIS lol...

Be worth it tho. my truck stands out as it is. imagine it goin down the cramped streets of japan with a big white gorilla behind the wheel.[/QUOTE] you'll really be standing out. I don't think there are any trucks out there that are modded up.

Good thing you have a auto, I can't stand not having a RPM tach on a standard.

Had lots of standards with no tach

My cars with tach I never look at it

Haha same, I never look at the tach for shift points. Mostly just when coasting, but it's visually appealing to have it vs not have it.

I can shift by listening but I find myself almost subconsciously looking down at it as a rough gauge, especially when short shifting to save on the mpg's

Well today I snapped the damn lock tab on my front passengers side light replacing the damn bulb. Wondering if I should just live with it or get it replaced. I feel like it might fall out if I hit a big enough bump. :p

I broke both my driver's and passenger's tabs. They are brittle and tbh I don't see how the thing comes out without breaking them. The force needed was too great. I just ended up using super glue on them and they have been fine since.

I dont even listen to shift anymore. I can tell by the vibration of the motor.

Or maybe its everything else on the truck vibrating.....lol. Oh well...works.

Good point! I did keep the piece that broke off and it was a clean break. I'll try some Gorilla epoxy tomorrow and see how it holds up. Honestly, its the first time I've had to replace the bulb in 12 years so as long as I can get it in there (that's what she...) and it holds I should be ok.

I broke my drivers side tab and just wedged it back in and it's been good for a while now. I just picked up two OEM replacement ones from Amazon that look exactly them same. They were like $25 shipped to my door

How the hell did you do that, they have the lightest torque spec of anything on the engine and they're bathed in oil. It's fool proof, and yet...

Shit I stopped looking at the tach to shift after a year of driving manual. It's just habit now, I guess you can say I listen/feel the engine/vibration. But it's just habit now, can't stand driving anything else :D
