Pliny the younger probably not likely. only happens a couple times a year. People camp out to get it.

    The other stuff seems doable.

You could always get a habitat and have a custom bed box built later. Throw the habitat on the new bed.

    I'm torn between:

    1. Keeping and re-skinning the camper. Rebuild the lower wood portion to fully utilize the bed space.

    2. Build flatbed (stock bed height, with wheel wells) with side storage. Re-skin the camper and slap it on there.

    3. Build custom camper to fit over existing bed. Integrate storage or custom water tanks inside of fenders.

Plenty of room (I know it's a DCLB):

    4. Option 2 with custom camper.

When I say "build" I mean mostly non-welding fabrication. I'd have parts welded, or buy a real welder, cut and tack stuff together, and have parts fully welded. Also have sheet metal bent to specs. I'd take care of skinning the frame and building the interior.

For what the FWC's are selling for, I could definitely/ maybe/ hopefully fund the build with the sale.

Having owned two FWC's and a Flippac, I think the clamshell design fits my needs the best. So easy to deploy and lots of headroom. Hard roof for snow, rain, solar, and storage. No one makes one in the US, unless you pay $30k+

    Something like this:

    Actually, exactly like this.
