I feel like mods should edit every single gb post and put in big red letters "DO NOT SEND MONEY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. EAT THE 3% CHARGE FOR YOUR SAFETY"

I mean if you compare the round 1 thread from start to delivery of packages is was 4 months, so y'all are at that point right now.

but did Max pull the shit of changing the rules on everyone? with this 100 must sell before I can distribute the first 50 that were supposed to get shipped?

we dont know if the snorkels are sitting at the port, waiting for duty to be paid, or if they have even been shipped from Australia. There are several issues that Max needs to address..

Where are the snorkels, after 60 people have paid? Why did he change the rules for the first 50/100? now we need to wait for 100 to be sold.. this was not projected in the original post.
Why cant anyone back out of the deal, now that we have learned these things? Legal Action due to the amount of money this entails..

these are things that I have thought recently. My head hurts now, and I am at work, and need to focus on other things. After reading several pages, I am sure there are other details that I am forgetting.

My guess is he didn't cap it at 50 like last time and was hoping it was going to be bigger. So he placed an order for 100 thinking he'd get all 100, but he only got 60. He's short 40% of the cost.

It could be something on Airflow's side saying "You placed an order for 100 and you can't back out or change it." The only person that really knows is him so there's no point in speculating.

This is why I don't do group buys.

so its his fault that he did that.. Therefore he should front the cost, and ship the first 50. Or ship the people that have paid. He should not be waiting for the full 100 to be sold, before he ships the people's that have paid.

Pretty stoked to officially be a part of another one of the biggest clusterfucks on TW...

My last one was this gem
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/elite-off-road-products-front-bumper-group-buy.276551/

Lot of similarities actually. OP had a previous GB that was shaky, but turned out ok in the end. OP had upwards of $20K of member's cash and then became more and more scarce. Random posts by OP stating "oh i got a new job and im so busy" "things are really tough right now with work, in fact its so bad i cant even go off roading or surfing... :(" blah blah blah. Its kind of funny how you can start to smell a GB going south...

I tell ya what Max... you may be busy with a new job and all, but we deserve a few moments of your time each day. I think 20 grand buys that. Do you take a shit? I imagine you do. During that quiet moment whilst shitting, pry yourself away from posting selfies on the 'Gram and tell us about our motherfucking snorkels.

I'd say right about now is a good time to be really honest with everybody on here. Lots of folks are upset, theres a few of us who are keeping it cool, hoping for the best, and then there's a few of your buddies who are dropping by to stick up for you and tell us all what a great guy you are. I think you owe it to them at least to make a better effort at managing this group buy.

Your last "update" was garbage by the way. As a person holding customer's money and failing to deliver a product, you have no leg to stand on. You should be apologizing profusely, asking for our patience and doing all you can to provide accurate and REAL information about our snorkels. Instead you offer more shadowy information, a healthy portion of moping about how hard it is to go to work, and some lame ass excuses. Suck it up, log into TW and come face the music in here. I guarantee it is only going to get uglier the longer you neglect it.

@tcBob @chris4x4 @all the rest of the Mods. IM sure you're all well aware of this by now, but on the off chance that its slipped by, please don't hesitate to offer Mr Mahalo some of your sage advice. After all, he does claim to be your BFFL

I'm gonna second all of that. I'm a relatively fresh face on TW, but in all of my lurking I've never seen a GB go like this. That was, in part, what led me to trust that this buy would go through. It's also why I've tried to have patience.

I'm a very patient man. I make mead for a living that can take years to age to its true potential. However, there's $335 of my hard earned cash floating out in the ether that I haven't seen even the nearest potential of resolution from.

I've been on a couple GB's so far that worked out fine. They worked out fine because OP delivered. This leaves a pretty bad taste in the mouth for any future GB prospects. 1/3 are not good enough odds for me to risk my scarce spending cash with. Snorkel, please.
