The diesel gas engine. Crazy output from a small plant, something like 130HP from 700cc's.
    Neat concept, for sure.

The low pressure cylinder is an interesting idea

Yeah, I just wonder what that low pressure cylinder will look like after a couple years of basically running off of the exhaust from the high pressure cylinders. Seems like it would get pretty gunked up.

Not necessarily, since the exhaust gases are still extremely hot at that point, and the cylinder itself is sandwiched between two other hot cylinders. I guess they'd just have to keep that cylinder hot, and deposits shouldn't be a problem.
Now, if an engine starts burning oil or running rich, that's definitely going to be a problem.

    Morning all.

Just got back from the orthopedist. I took a spill while skiing last winter and my shoulder hasn't quite been the same since, limited range of motion, constant aches and occasional sharp pain, so my girlfriend finally convinced me to go get it looked at. Nothing conclusive yet, small bone spur and some arthritis on the x-ray. He's sending me for an MRI to look for soft tissue damage.

For the record, treating my body as an amusement park ride has not gone well over the years. As we were going through my history, I think the only major parts of my body yet to suffer serious damage have been my spine and head. Or, maybe I hit my head early on, and the rest of this is just the result of that...

I have a torn ligament in my shoulder from a fall years ago. She'll never be the same again but i did physical therapy to avoid surgery. Mine had frozen up too because my fist doctor had me sling it, I'll never do that again

    Hm.
I've had a couple of concussions, fractured my skull in two places, dislocated my left shoulder and left knee, sprained both wrists, and sprained an ankle over the years. None of them bother me now, but people are constantly telling me that these are going to be problems when I get older. Of course, they've also been telling me that since I was 25 and it hasn't started yet, lol. The people that have been telling me are people who are only a couple of years older than I am, and they all have chronic pain problems with similar injuries from when they were younger. Not sure if I'm just lucky, but I work out and stretch on a daily basis, so that may have something to do with it. Outside of the sports where you're damaging yourself, how active are you? Do you have a fitness routine?

Cupcake had surgery on both shoulders for the arthritis. She got the frozen shoulder after the second one a few yrs ago, ugh. Pool therapy was great for her and the chiropractor.

I had been hitting a functional fitness gym for several years, a couple of nights a week, until they closed in June. I haven't been going all summer, but have still been pretty active, just not "training". I just met with a new trainer last night and I'm pretty sure I'll be picking it back up though. I am pretty active outside of work (desk job) too, biking 3-4 days a week until there's too much snow for that, and skiing when there is snow. I can't sit still very long, since it's what I do all week at work.

My knees are the worst thing that kick my ass now..swimming accident as a teenager plus years of abuse riding bikes. Fortunately losing some weight helped. I just have to get back to being more hardcore on the cardio

The only meat I deliberately burn is chicken. I think it's best when it's charred black.

If it's red meat, the closer to raw the better.
