Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

I've been considering swapping out my stock seats... When do you need them by?

The place name "Tidewater" used to refer to all of the cities in what is now called the "Hampton Roads" area. Basically everything east of Newport News and Suffolk.

The name "Tidewater, VA" used to be used on postal stamps but it was replaced with "Hampton Roads, VA" about 30 years ago. Old timers like me that are native to this area still call it Tidewater.

For that price, I'd rather learn to weld and build one from scratch. I saw this one on FB and thought it was a little high because of rust but have been considering it. OP says surface rust but it looks like a little more

 

That's not a bad price on the trailer with the roof top tent. I built up a Dinoot trailer on a Harbor Freight frame, had drop sides made to allow me to camp in it. Reinforced the axle, put wheels and tires matching my tow vehicle, epoxied the inside and the top, added a trailer box and multi-axis hitch for off roading. By the time I was all done, including registration and everything I had more than that in the trailer! Hard to believe but it all adds up.

I had cross bars and bike trays on top so I could carry bikes, kayaks, etc.

 

My ideal set up would be a set of cross bars too for bikes, kayaks, and surfboards.

Checked with my agent, I'm covered. I didn't realize that what insurance companies cover varies from state. That's why my friends truck in Utah isn't covered and mine in Virginia is even though we are both with State Farm.

Tires are the 265/70R16 Goodyear Kevlars that came with the truck. They have about 1500 miles on tgen.

Feel free to pick them up in RI or VA. I am stationed in Norfolk and make the trip back to RI every other week. I can even deliver in between somewhere if it helps. PM me if you want to work something out.

both, plus mountain. I think my stable is up to 7 bikes now and includes a commuter! I'm too old to race much anymore (been about a year and a half since I entered a cross race) but I still ride a good bit for fun, fitness and recreation. Usually out 3 or 4 times a week.

Yeah, talked with USAA and they said it's all covered. He DID say that once I start adding a lot to the truck and want to have everything insured, I'll need to look at different coverage packages.

 

Mine said stuff that's part of the truck like bumpers and suspension are covered. No extra cost. That's my main concern.
