Third gens are hideous.

 

I don't know about the issues you are having, but honestly after spending time in both trucks, I'd rather have the 3rd Gen. It's quieter, Interior is much more solid, the engine is smoother.

Fingers crossed my man, dealer was a bit baffed I wanted to trade a 16 for a 15 lol

DO IT! I personally think second gens look better overall anyway as well. Plus you could always just throw some wet okoles on the seats anyway.

 

Yep do it. I look at the interior of the third gen and get a little envious but I absolutely love how my 2nd gen drives. While the % of people with 3rd gen problems is probably quite small relative to the number of 3rd gens out there, if you are one of the % affected, it may be worth it.

I love my 2013.....

 

I'm not going to say whether you should do it or not. I will just say that '15 Pros are awesome. The interior of the 3rd-gen is very cool, but I do like the 2nd-gen interior also (even if it is basic). For me, the 2nd-gens are my favorite looking truck, so that would be a big plus. Interested to see what you do. Good luck.

 

How many miles are on the 2015 Pro that you are looking at?

Because of the rarity of the TRD Pro's in general and being the last of that era of Pro's, the 2015 may in fact hold it's value longer over your 16

 

It seems like you were happier with the 2nd gen so if the numbers are right,then I say go for it.
