Yes, the engineer I talked to at rock therapy said third gen used 8.75" for both elocker and open diff variants.

I wonder if the 3rd gen diff/axle bolt up easily? could be an improvement if you can find one in a junkyard yet?

How is the topper/tent setup tentatively going to look? Is the tent going to sit above the cab now?

drop the canvas directly on the bed rack, then cut some holes in the top so the tent can attach to the bed rack

i'll need to modify the canvas so the sides are the right length

then i'll be able to have canvas sides all year and still have my tent

ahhhhh, I forgot that your bed rack mounts inside the bed and not on the sides like most.

I like where this is going :spy:

i thought about a custom canvas...then this deal came up...figure it's a good starting point and i can utilize the canvas and most of the poles for structure

i have my extra Bestop i might try and do some sort of a Bikini top on my bed rack Jake is building for me. Eventually ill be trying to make something that will seal up the bed rack but there is one issue down near the rails that when you will see it you will understand could be a problem to completely seal up the bed :D

don't get him all excited Jack!!! I said specifically my extra bestop. This only consists of THE CANVAS that i replaced so its just the top and sides. NO WINDOWS, NO BARS, NO MOUNTING STUFF, NO BACK WINDOW. :D

hence bikini top so id try and mount some D rings somewhere to sew some strapping on to tighten it down on the top of the bed rack. Should work

I did have a for sale bestop a few weeks ago but its gone. Thought @Jrazzle had a bed rack by you and it wouldn't work with a bestop anyways?

    Lexus update...

blown rear shock pushed me to some suspension work...and a good excuse to upgrade

K-Sport Kontrol Pro coilovers installed yesterday and dropped about 1.25" in height...much better stance now :D

had a little photoshoot after in the parking garage

Jace also got a lot of maintenance done while the car was in the shop...resealed the tranny pan, dipstick o-ring replaced and lots of fluids all around...spring time it'll get a new timing belt, water pump and some other maintenance items to get the Lexus in prime running shape for the future...
