I just looked up the trail map and the area looks sick!! Reccomend any good trail head to start at and loop? ~3-5 miles is my comfort zone.

Btw, ebrake stopped working after the Rubicon a couple months ago. Finally decided to look into since I'm headed to the Grand Canyon soon. And damn, I have never seen a bent brake shoe!

The toy drive i well plan out in more detail when we can see the weather.
But basically if theres snow dont roll with us unprepared. If your scared of snow and ice, ride with someone or stay home. Not trying to be a dick, but with as many people that will be up there please be courteous to others.and respect Uncle Toms, the jeepers, and there rules. This is there event, not mine. I JUST ENJOY DOING MY GOOD DEED,and being apart of it.

Oh damn. Didn't know it was common. Took me some time to take off the parking break lever. Banged the shit out of the brake shoe to straighten it out, then had to break the spring that holds it in place. Then because the pin was so distorted, had to trim it a bit just to take the lever off!

I've been on every trail there and realize i know the name of nothing :facepalm:sooo... i wont be much help but the prospect tunnel is worth checking out although the hike there is underwhelming (open,no trees and it doesnt loop unless you want a 10 mile hike). Most people head up the center, i think chaparral loop trail, people also like the cemetery trail to the right. I tend to stay away from everybody off to the left. Great directions, i know:rofl:. Maybe I'll try to pay attention today and get some names of trails for you. I'm there 3-5 times a week so if you're gonna be in the area one day let me know and i'll take you on a good loop

I reused the springs the first time. Big mistake. One broke the second time and got stuck between the shoe and drum. That was at slick rock. Made for a shitty drive home. Nails on chaulk board. I would get a new spring kit if you didnt and replace them as well. New springs looked wat better. Auto zone and most parts stores have the kits.
