Hey everyone. I just bought my first Tacoma and it is everything I wanted. Everything's pretty great except the ride is a pretty bumpy at 50+. It may be due to my worn tires which leads me to my first question! I like the height it is at now (no lift with 275/55x20) but the tires rub so I need to go thinner. What are some decent prices lift kits, or is a leveling kit the way to go? Any help would be great!

    go to http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/

They have the best deals on lifts.

As far as tires, 265 60 17 is what is stock for that truck. If they are rubbing you you can allways trim it to stop the rubbing.

Of course when you say bumpy ride, is it a bounce, like a lumpy tire, or is it just a generally bouncy, hard ride, feeling all the bumps in the road?

I guess more shaky then bumpy, the steering wheel just vibrates alot when going that fast. The tires are pretty worn too so that could affect it maybe

Yeah I think the dealership tossed them on to spruce it up. They don't match the truck at all. I think I want to do 16 or 17s with a two inch lift

Yeah, that sounds like tires...some first time pickup owners complain that it doesn't ride like a car, but very few pickups do!

I'm pretty fine with it I just wanted to make sure it was normal. New tires I think will help

Yup, sounds like that's the place to start. I like my BFG KO2s, but that's just me...

Do you know the best place to get them? Those are the tires I've been looking at!

Lots of places...Tire Rack, your local BFG dealer, and check here on the forums for other dealers. Also, Google is your friend!
There are some KO2 Threads here , I believe...use the search in the top right corner...
