You're going to be pretty dang close to Peter's for it not to work.

He lives right off Stony Point which runs straight through Petaluma Blvd North. Not far from Lakeville Hwy which is what I assume you'll use for the trip home. Or could use.. instead of the Marin on ramp for 37.

    Wrecked!
I said this last time but i think either it got burried under BS, or know one listened. If uou heard a pop from uour brakes this it what happed. It bent. Eventually it will bend to the piont it binds and the wheel locks up. Its happened twice fir me. MJ now, and Nick.
If you heard the pop, you might want to inspect your brakes at the least. It would suck if it locks up while driving.

Possibilities are endless at Black Diamond!

We usually park at the end of Frederickson Lane and hike in the backside of Black Diamond, limited but free parking.

Stewartsville trail to Ridge Trail to Acorn trail, down to North Portal or Old Homestead trail which take you back to the lot. 5 mile loop, some good hills at the front side of the hike.

    Another good one:
Stewartsville Trail from the Fredrickson parking lot, to Star Mine Trail and back on Stewartsville Trail to the lot. Just shy of 5 miles, but steeper climbing.

Not busy at all during the week, and good crowds on the weekends.

    Check it out!

That solution that @jAndyMendo posted is really cool.
If you are looking for a no-drill solution, the Kuda works well as a base for a couple of Ram balls. That might be stable enough, or you can kludge it together with a Pro.Fit bracket.

Thanks Eric! I finally realized I can link my IN Reach to my tablet, so no more squinting at the map on my phone! But I figured there's probably only a few mounts out there that are sturdy enough to hold one without bouncing around.

The Pro.Fit bracket by itself is worthless, though.

Mine can hold a tablet through anything. Also the newer ipads dont need external gps, the gps works everywhere offline.

I still need to do something for my iphone, but havent decided what that solution will be.

    Check out the build
Where did he get this made?

I just fount out AT will sell what they call the Vehicle Habitat for $6500. It's basically just the clam shell portions with tent so you can put it on any application. I was just thinking on my way to the airport about something like what you posted with a habitat.

Opposite the 4wd switch. They are about the same size, so it is about the same position.

Alum-line. I have a buddy that recommended another shop also, but I cant find the name.

$6500 and I keep all my bed setup, that isnt a bad deal. I wonder how hard it would be to add the top of the habitat to a custom box?

Oh I see what you are saying now, the vehicle habitat is $6500. Yeah that is a good idea.
