Does it count to regret not getting 37s?

Seriously though it's pretty common. Lately a lot of 3rd gen owners are shocked when their 3.5L has trouble spinning 33s and they see a $2k quote for regearing. Some use the tall tires off road, but many just choose form over function.

I have Kings all around, but not lifted (really comfy ride hah), but shopping for the right leaf pack to probably go up 1-1.5" all around.

I can get a side shot, i'll take one later if I get time today.

Yea and i have a 2.7l first gen so i have some trouble making it up hills too (although i can control the gearing a little better with a manual)
But I'm just worried about how goofy it will look with 265/70r16 yokohama geolanders (my stock tires that came with my truck when i bought it) until i could get some 265/75r16s

i don't think it will look goofy. I'd probably run what you got until they wear out and need replacing, them bump up in size. But if your heart is set on the 75s, then its best to sell the tires while they have good tread, recoup some money, and get what you really want. I have not noticed any loss of power after bumping up in size. The speedometer is also now accurate

Oh i didnt explain it well... Right now i have 33s on my truck and i am really noticing the mechanical issues and the tires are brand new and i have brand new 15" rims but i was thinking about putting on my older stock 265/70r16 tires with about 50% tread and stock 16"rims and sell my new stuff to get the money.

Don't worry about it looking goofy. It's all right. Here's another of mine with the lift and 265/70:

And if you're worried about looking goofy definitely don't do this:

Yeah on my 265/75/16's you can feel everything on the road cause they're an a 10 ply tire and E rated, I'm pretty sure. They're for full size trucks with weight to them. Our trucks don't have a lot of weight. Still an awesome tire though!

Anyone else have 265s on a 3 inch lift? Or does anyone have an opinion on the look of it? And how much does it affect power compared to 33x12.50 or 285/75

What "mechanical issues" are you experiencing?

Idk if they are technically "issues" but the usual rubbing, power loss, handling problems that i was expecting but its more than i was expecting

What power/handling differences did you notice if any?

No power increase but I put the 5 ome leaf packs on two weeks ago from stock and I have bilstiens on all four corners and the ride is amazing and so is a handling very tight and very responsive

I'm really leaning towards putting the stock rims and tires on cause i personally would take quality of ride over looks, especially if its a very drastic change.

Have 265/70R16 with a 2.5" lift. I think it looks great. Wouldn't ever run 33" with this setup even with the v6, but the 265 is a good size. Was considering dropping to 245/75r16 to get slightly better mileage on the slimmer tire.
