Wow, at those prices you can drive it down to LA/OC and save some money! Even if you drive it here, fly home, fly back down, then boost back up north... you'd save a considerable amount of money.

I called Maguson and they searched for installers around my area by Area Code. Try that if you haven't yet.

I live in SoCal, no need for the explaination. If anyone wants an install I'll charge half 600.

Only if you were in NorCal

I have a friend willing to install mine but he is in the middle of a move and I feel like a dick about asking but he did offer to install it before I even ordered this damn thing

Its not really that difficult. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined it's even easier just a process.

SC is arriving today, going to try and install this weekend or next. Baby coming soon have to get it done.

I haven't tackled it yet - but read through the instructions. It appears to be true that the hardest part of the install will be the crank pulley bolt. I had to pull the trigger on a bigger torque wrench - 295 N*m is some serious torque  The rest is just being methodical, taking your time, and holding off on the beers until the end of the workday.

Pro tip - organize your tools and clean every surface of your garage *before* you start. I can already tell this job requires more bench space and cleanliness than your average DIY.

350 lbs with my impact and 1/2" air hose wouldn't break that bolt loose. I ended up using a breaker bar wedged on the frame and used the starter to break the bolt loose.

Did you notice any thread locking compound on the bolt when you pulled it? Wondering if they use red locktite on that sucker and that's why it's such a bear to remove.

Thanks for the pic  That could be threadlock - hard to tell, but you're probably right that it's just corrosion.

My truck's pretty new and in a dry climate - I'll use a PB-Blaster/Acetone cocktail and heat the bolt with a torch before I attempt removal just in case.

Good idea using the starter. Thats crazy tight if the impact couldnt break it loose. I really hope mine goes easier...

I got mine with a breaker bar. The other one I helped install (on a newer truck) required the starter giving some help.
