Speaking from a position of inexperience and without authority, I chose the side spout because I plan to either strap it to my frame or mount it to the bed rail under my bakflip. At the time of purchase, I couldnt see spending the extra $40 for the kit.

this is probably a stupid question, but how do you re-pressurize the system if you don't use a hose to fill it up?

Gotta use a bike pump to re-pressurize. I'm pretty sure it comes with a Schrader valve on one side

Is there a filler/spout on these besides the hose option? Say I'm out camping, it runs out, and I want to refill it with my Rotopax... That possible?

wondering the same thing... how to manually fill, then re-pressurize (using bike pump).

exactly. I have a power pack that I use to power to camping essentials... that also has a small compressor built in. I can set the PSI I want digitally, and it will pump until it reaches said PSI and shut off. should work perfect. that is IF... you can re-fill and pressurize.

I would love some pictures if you get the opportunity!

Also, and this is for anyone... is there anything preventing it being rotated so that the 7" height becomes the width and makes the height 5"? I would like to gain those 2" in clearance.

I'm interested to know this too. It would be good to be able to refill from another water container in case you are out there far from any water source with faucet.

    Mine came in today...
Should have time to look at putting it in place in the stock spare location tomorrow. At a Glance with the frame mount it looks like mounting to that crossmember should be no issue...

    thanks for the pics!

so.. nothing preventing it from being mounted on its side.. even better. although, filling might be more difficult.

    regardless, cant wait! :goingcrazy:

Received mine today....55 seconds before the water turns to a trickle. :frusty:

WaterPORT on the ground, hose elevated about 3ft similar to a frame mount. Filled it up on regulated water pressure (about 60 psi) then again at unregulated (about 100 psi) and both times I got about 40 seconds of really usable pressure in shower mode and by 55 seconds the water was just trickling out. This happen to anyone else?

    Thanks,
    Rob
