Nor had I. I discovered it in the "More items to consider" on Amazon, and it piqued my curiosity.

It takes away that laggy feeling when you push the gas. Its an instant response which makes it much easier to drive and gives a better feel in case you need to feather. Cant see much use for a truck which is big and slow but they are awesome on fast cars. Same reason I dont understand why people put short shifters in trucks. Why would you make your shifter feel like crap so you can shift it faster and still have slow everything else with long clutch and clunky drivetrain lol.

There is no such thing as "void your warranty"

Go ahead and throw a 6 inch lift on your truck, and then take it down to the dealer for a drive train failure, and lets see if there is such a thing as a voided warranty. Or toss a supercharger into car and take it to the drag strip a few times. If you modify your truck, and the factory feels the mod was a contributing factor to the failure, they can, and will refuse to pay the claim. I saw a grown man cry on a dealership service drive because he added so much boost to his diesel, that it sucked his air filter into the intake blowing his engine. The repair estimate was twelve grand on a 1 year old truck. Not every mod voids a warranty, but you can definitely void a warranty.

They can refuse to cover the part that was directly affected by a mod yes, but it does not void the warranty on the truck. If you get a suspension lift they can't not cover the stitches in your seat coming out.

A lift would not void a drive train repair. One has Nothing to do with another

If you want to argue semantics, then go ahead. My POINT was be careful about adding something that may cause a failure to not be covered under warranty. And I don't know how you can say a 6 inch lift will not affect a drive train with a straight face. I guess you missed the part in my post where I said "It will depend on the repair, and the Service Manager's mood", so I copied and pasted it in here for you. Obviously a lift won't cause an A/C repair to not be covered. You must be fun at parties.

You are so cool. And you are so tough and scary and intimidating.

Stop acting like a retard. I know you have no friends and no one likes you, and now I can see why. You are a loser.

No, a lift will not affect drive train in a warranty situation. If you let the service manager talk you out of the service you are owed, which I'm sure has happened to you many times because you are easy to trick with your puny brain, then yes his mood will depend on the outcome. If you know the law and how to talk to someone and stand your ground then get the work done.

I can see you aren't equipped to have a conversation, and possibly a disagreement without getting butthurt. I've worked in dealerships for years, and have seen first hand people putting a bunch of mods on their vehicles, then getting angry when the dealership won't warranty a shredded axle, gear box, or transmission, because they put a lift on their truck. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens a lot. I put a lift on my truck, and I went into it knowing a repair may not be covered if a drivetrain part fails. I was merely trying to make sure the poster was aware he MIGHT be creating a warranty issue, by adding the commander and you got all pissed off by my choice of words. If you disagree, then great, knock yourself out. You're the guy that will put a shitty 6 inch lift on a truck, then go ape shit in the service drive when the drive train warranty is rejected.

If you have such anger issues that you need to call some person on a forum a retard, maybe go take a jog or something.

Hello everyone my name is Larry Sartore I am the sales manager here at Pedal Commander, looks like you guys have a good thread going so far but there is a lot of misleading information on here so I am here to answer some questions you guys might have... I will start with the first post.

    1. it works as it's meant to and everyone is happy
    2. the TRUCK sees it as an intruder and simply counteracts it, leaving you $300 lighter with nothing to show for it
    3. the TRUCK doesn't know what to make of it and gives an error code, leaving you $300 lighter and pissed off
    4. you drive full throttle off a cliff, leaving you $300 lighter and your spouse with a nice inheritance

#1 Yes, it does work... we have Toyotas here the shop... Tundras, Tacos cars .... it works on all of them

#2 NO it does not see it as a "intruder" and we offer a 14 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE

#3 You wont get any error codes as long as your TRUCK "goes to sleep" and you keep you proximity key 30ft away from the TRUCK during install... otherwise key is talking to TRUCK and TRUCK wont go to sleep and when you unplug the gas pedal the Throttle Position Sensor will loose power and cause a code...... VERY VERY EASY FIX if that does happen you can start the car and shut it down about 4-6 times and the lights or error codes will go away.

#4 TPS in the case of a failure dont go 100% full throttle, when they fail they dont give a signal out causing your car not to move at all or go into a limp mode where the vehicle only goes 30 mph

I want to make it clear I am NOT here to promote my product I am only here to answer the questions you guys have and make sure they are TRUE and HONEST answers.

here is some good reviews on our Amazon page.

Thanks for the info. My post about warranty issues wasn't an attempt to trash your product, but just make sure people know that when you add stuff like programmers to trucks, it can open up a window where a service manager can use it as a scapegoat to be lazy and deny a claim. I'm sure it's a great product.

I havent seen or heard of our product causing any TPS sensor failures.... you have to understand what we are doing and how are product works... it plugs in line with the existing gas pedal / sensor and we are changing "tip in" and amplifying the MillAmps thats coming out of sensor threw our unit to the ECU

EDIT: If you are truly worried about loosing your warranty on your brand new $40K+ truck I can completely understand that, You would simply unplug our unit. install and removal takes no more then 7 minutes and I know most of us can do it in 4 minutes.

My friend has something similar in his car and it really makes a difference in the responsiveness. So in that sense yes it really does work.

However I saw one of the reviews said the gas pedal stopped working. So that was enough for me to stay away.

I know exactly what review you are referring to, unfortunately that client had a few geographical and religious issues with the owner of our company... he also states that we are not based in the USA which is false he also left reviews for products he didn't buy "WAS NOT A VERIFIED"

that will normally happen when one of the plugs is not plugged in all the way. (go out and give it a try on your truck and see what happens) NOTE: we use ALL OEM plugs NOT CHINA JUNK on our wiring harnesses to make sure the fit is good some people push them together but they dont hear the "click"

Thanks for chiming in Larry. To be clear, there was some attempt at humor in my list of potential outcomes, but I do appreciate you taking the time to respond and explain how your product works. And thanks for providing a discount code.

dude you think a lift doesn't void drivetrain warranty ? think again.

a lift puts added strain on everything from wheel bearings, diffs, ujoints, cv's, and tranny, leafs, ubolts and engine

LOLOLOLOL you lift and something busts and you bring it in with the lift, you better hope it's christmas
and the dealership GIFTS you the cost. which won't happen

toyota corp will not pay the dealership a dime to fix drivetrain issues if you lift it

    not wrong bub...

merely sticking the vehicle up higher in the air stream stresses all the things I mentioned,
right there, physics proves me correct (although to the tiniest degree and actually meaningless, it is added stress)

. but that is not what I meant though.

whatever...a dealership will only do factory warranty work if they get paid by Toyota, and Toyota doesn't
pay for out-of-port modifications or components involved with those mods.

change the angle of the CV and blow one, or a boot ? you expect to get that fixed for free ? lawls
