wind blow u across the highway?

So today i was on the highway fighting to keep my truck going straight with the wind and was wonder is there something worng my truck or does everyone get a work out keeping thier truck in the lane? I noticed this mostly when its a medium to high wind situation, my truck just walks all over the place and by the time i get off the highway my arm is tired.

due to the large-ness of the sides of our truck, there's alot of surface area for that wind to push on, making our trucks easily affected by wind..its normal

i usually just use the weight of my arm to keep my truck in-line, but then again the wind here in SFL isnt ever that strong to blow me off the road..but i do fight it every now and then

 

i have driven in some pretty heavy winds before and it was a workout... but i know mine wasnt out of the ordinary.. as long as it drives well when your not in windy situations.... I mean does it feel good when driving on the highway typicaly? if so i wouldnt worry about it!!

Yep, I've experienced this too. Our trucks tend to catch the wind like a sail. I found that by wedging my knee under the steering wheel a little it helps with this. My 86' Bronco isn't affected by the wind as much as the Tacoma! WTF?

 

I've noticed it too, but it's not as bad as my work vehicle (98 E250 van). That thing is like driving a wall.

under normal conditions i have no problem controlling it, just get alittle work out in the wind. i figured it was normal but the only other car i drove was an 06 f150 and that was like driving a tank, just thought i would ask.
