Si. I chased one before my current truck, dude answered the phone and we set up a meet. I ended up canceling the meet, a month later the police call me and ask if I had any info on the guy, he was wanted for odometer fraud. Lesson: even if the person answers the phone and produces a real truck, doesn't mean it's not a scam.

Plot twist, it was OP's ad and he was seeing if he could pass as a real legit ad

 

Be careful about Craigslist, when I was looking for my xB I ran into odometer rollback about 7 out of 10 times. I used CarFax and the mileage would go from 200k+ to 100k. Plenty of washed titles from other states too.
