    My factory cd player thinks it has a cd in but it doesnt, is there a way to reset the unit? thanks

    2019 Rubicon 4 Door,
    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Press, and hold the "Eject" button for about 10 seconds. That should reset it.

    take out the headunit. and remove the actual stereo from the faceplate. That does the hard style reset.

    But i guess any reset is a reset.......

    Ok....Try this....With the truck OFF, and NO key in the ignition, push and hold the Eject button for longer than 10 seconds. See what that does.

    tried that as well, i read that some tundra owners were having issues with burned CDs not ejecting or playing but when i tried to push in a CD i didnt feel any obstruction.


    there is a error message as well, err3 or something

    i did some more research, that error is commonly associated with the optical pickup being mis aligned or damaged, so it might be time to get a new cd player
