Dirt on Engine

It only needs a light mist till wet then a good scrub. Spraying hard can push ester into electrical

I don't have a hood scoop on mine..... my engine cover has dirt on it before I took it into the dirt. Why????????

Gotta be those dirt gremlins crawling in at night and shitting on my engine!
I hate going to the Toyota dealer about all these complaints because they just laugh at me every time and tell me, "it's normal". WTF!?!?!?

$40k and I get this kind of customer service!?

Stop driving it down dirt roads. j/k There are tons of openings and dust will find a way in. Your compartment
will always look dirty.

 

I heard if you wash it 3 times and it gets dirty again you can lemon law it.

 

Too late, I just sprayed the shit out of my engine bay and my truck turned into a 3rd gen

 

I went to the dealership today and got unlimited warranty for dirt in my engine. You should try it.

When I have dirty engine cover stress, I excape to my Safe Place and try to collect my thoughts. Then I express myself on TW, and if that doesn't work I cry on Facebook.

Edit: Then I dump two cans of tire shine on my KO2's

Just FYI, too much shine on those bro meats and they'll sling all over your paint and stain the paint forever! Hope your taco isn't white!
No worries, Toyota apparently is aware of this issue with tire dressing.

I'll need to try that Facebook tip when I feel I can't control my emotions, but I need to create one first.

 

1st gen

For real though I gave up trying to keep my engine bay immaculately clean a long time ago, but a *light* hose mist every so often and some scrubbing keeps it looking halfway decent. I'm paranoid though and cover the fuse box, alternator and battery (since I have wires for my lights running to it) with grocery bags even though it probably isn't necessary.

 

That gained value tho

 

I took off my engine shroud and keep it in the back seat. Hasn't got dirty yet.
