the theory behind it is kinda like this... hope i get it right...

just as an example... let's say a shock measures at 14" compressed and 20" extended... the distance between your upper and lower control arms is 21"

if you add the top mount spacer to the top of the strut assembly, the whole assembly now sits at 23" extended...

if you add a preload spacer inside the coil pack, the same strut assembly still sits at 20" extended...

every time you hit a speed bump or a pothole, the shock wants to rebound to full extension... with a top mount spacer, where does that extra 2" go? right into the lower control arm...

So If i buy say blistens that give you a 3" lift Would that amplify the effect because instead of 17/23 you now have 15.5/24.5 with the added travel so were does the xtra 3.5 come from.
PS: i am not trying to be a smart ass i am just trying to figure it out

    No mods whatsoever!
I have the Ready lift leveling kit with the 1" spacers in the back. I like it and have had no problems with it. That being said, I don't really go off- road like alot of members do.

it may not be in travel... bilstein is good about using short body shocks...

my bilstein 7100 rear shocks are 12" travel with a compressed length of 16" which is the same as King's 8" travel shock...

now i am lost. lol so to ask one more question lol other then gained travel what is the differance between a top load spacer lift w/stock struts and a 3" lift coil over set? if they are both the same length at normal load how are the top load spacers worse for your truck. Unless the max extension is less on the coil overs. i don't get it and might be a lost cause lol

What setup are you going to do from the Readylift? I just put the Readylift on my 5 lug and it seems OK for now. I just love my regular cab!

You are 100% correct. The top plate systems do not affect ride, they may affect down travel though.

I was thinking of installing a TC88500 on my truck. But I am also planning on doing other MODs to my Tacoma. So the Total Chaos will be on hold.

The Readylift kit rides great. It was a cheap way to lift my Tacoma. As of now, I don't have the need to buy the TC, but I might later on. I am not too sure when.

How is this lift any different from revtek? A friend of mine has them on and wants to know any downside of the product.

It's been about a year since you installed this kit. Any issues or regrets?

Is that SR pulling those 33's okay?

Truck looks great by the way. The ReadyLift product is loved by some. Gives the truck a great looking stance and provides the "look" most want. If it never leaves the pavement, it probably saves you about $1200 to spend on other mods.

Hey thanks, yea still running great, no problems. I’m still spending there’s too many things I want to do to it. I really love my Tacoma, but I will own the Pro one day. For the winter I took the 33’s off and put the stock rims with 275/70/16’s, looks good, but I like it much better with the black rims and bigger tires.

What brand tire is your 285/70 17's?
