Where to get black steel toyota rims?

I have been looking for toyota black steel wheels and can't seem to find any, I have seen some peoples pictures on here and they have them. I have an 06 reg cab taco 4x4 and looking for any fairly cheap black rims to mount some M/T's on.

You could always paint them.
I think what you are looking at is people painting the stock toyota rims.

 

Mine are stock but I didnt paint them... They came that way.

Yeah mine are painted already but I want a second set of rims since I drive 90miles a day so I dont want to have my DD down if somthing happens while wheeling. But I have seen plain black steel wheels on taco's and 4runners they look like they should have hubcaps.

 

this is the style I am looking for but 6lug lol I guess people call them steelies?

 

You could try some FJ cruiser steelies. I saw a thread last week where some folks said they got them for free at their dealer, because they were just going to throw them out. I'll try to find that thread.

I have a truck that looks much like yours and I came across this thread. I love how you painted your stock steel wheels. What paints did you use? Was it just a normal red color for the center? I would like to paint mine the same way.

Also is it necessary to take the wheel and tire off to paint? I was hoping I could do it while still on the truck but of course there is a concern about the paint running as it dries.

 

If you want stock steelies I'd get some new ones. You don't know if the used ones your buying are bent or not.

I'd go for some new blackies. They'll run you around 60 70 bucks a piece. For that price you might as well get some steel wheels like procomp. Thanks

 

I've heard that the Procomp steel wheels wont work in the front without spacers due to the front disc brake caliper. I'd love to have those, but don't want the spacers. Can anyone confirm or deny if they will work?

Find you a set of wheelers off-road steel wheels. They don't make them anymore but they are still around.

I've been on the hunt for the FJ wheels too. Hard to find. The pro comps are ugly to me. I like the utilitarian look of the FJ wheels..

 

Are the spare wheels steelies?

If so, collect 4 more, assuming they are the size you want.

 

I've slowly collected 4 for my '13 Tacoma, still on the hunt for 2 more for my spares.
I've found them on Craigs List as low as $20.00 and people asking for $100.00
I now have a set of the OEM aluminum wheels I'll start asking people with same rims if they want to trade for their steelies and I'll pay to remount and balance in the trade.
