@C4 Fabrication, I'm waiting on getting a full cb setup until you do this for 2d gen in stainless steel. No pressure.

Got the radio today. Waiting for the antenna, coax, and antenna spring to come. Hopefully it all shows up about the same time as the mount. Then I'll be ready to go.

Anyone with a 3rd gen mount the radio in the cubby right in front of the shifter? It's the cubby with the random little light in it.

I went with 25'. I haven't done the work yet, but added everything up in my head and ended up with something more than 18. I would also add that I will be cutting one connector off and soldering back on after the cable is cut to length. I want to put the CB in the cubby above the Qi charger. DCLB, BTW.

Is there a possibility of maybe getting this made in wood instead than. Maybe an Oak or Mahogany. With the bottle opener of course. No powder coating. Thankyou. JK

I would imagine that if you would like one made out of rich mahogany, then you would most likely need a wine bottle opener on yours instead of a beer bottle opener! :D

Can you make the port side one hold a wine glass?

Anyone got some pics or a link to installs? There was one in the search but none of the photos worked.

I would like to see how people ran wires (power for radio from center console to battery, side near passenger seat to battery etc... and also running the coax to the rear of the truck.)

EDIT: anyone mount the antenna on one of the side bed rails?

Appreciate the humor. You know I'll bet that there is someone that has a wine bottle opener permanently installed on their vehicle. All in need is a CB antenna mount with a bottle opener and possibly a tactical case for my Single Malt Scotch so I can mount it on my roof rack.

The heat cycles caused by the sun will probably be less good for the single malt. You should consider an under-mount solution for single malts. Something protected by the frame rails, possibly requiring a dedicated skid plate. I'm sure C4 can hook you up.

Sure, you can protect the stuff from a direct hit, but ultimately you need to solve for the lurching and jolting associated with any sort of off-road activity. I don't think that solution is going to happen and the fact is that single malt bruises too easily. Anyone in this situation is better off sticking to beer and a bottle opener and giving the single malt to me for safe keeping...

I just purchased the same radio but with a 4' Firestik. How did you get the coax cable into the cabin? I've checked and seen a couple of drain plugs throughout the cabin but I'm not sure if there is a better way. I've just posted the same question to others to see if I get different answers.

theres a drain plug right beneath the passenger front seat and zip tied cable to the frame rear passenger panel up to where the rear break light is.
