Just placed my order with Marie from @HeadStrong Off-Road. Got the 3rd Gen 5100s all around and the HS AAL. Can't wait to get it all in and installed! Thanks Marie for all the help. I would highly recommend Marie and @HeadStrong Off-Road.

What do you think your final lift height will be on this? What settings will you use? I'm really considering this for mine and I would like to get some new wheels and tires and I don't want a rub or any trimming. I also don't want some crazy lift either. I think your decision would be right around perfect. Will this level it out also? What about the lean?

I have the 3rd gen 5100's installed front and back.

Set the front ones to 1.1 (notch 3 out of 5) and the truck is almost perfectly level. Stock springs and no AAL/block in the back.

I'm pretty impressed with the ride. I have an SR5, so the 5100's are a nice improvement over the Hitachi shocks in my opinion. The truck rides nicer in general driving and is more controlled going over bumps and taking sharp turns.

Pics to come when I have a sec today.

I plan on using the 2" setting for the front and will take the factory overload off before putting the HS AAL, so i should get 1.5" in the back. It should be pretty close to level with the back maybe being 1/2 inch higher at the most. I have under 3/4" from the front to the back now. There is not much lean on my truck at all the way it is now. The back left to right is the same. The front was only 1/4" off. I didn't want a big lift either, that is why I went with this setup.

Here is my truck the way it is now.

And the rear 3rd gen 5100 don't effect ride height either, correct?

Nope, they simply replace the stock ones.

I ordered my 3rd gen 5100's from HeadStrong, which is a great place to work with. I have a 2017 DC Off-Road 4x4. I had the 5100's set to the 4th notch and it lifted the front 1.5" +/- 0.125. In other words, it's right on the Bilstein spec. The rear I left stock. The truck looks very level to me, for sure no bro-lean. I'm very impressed with the ride. I had the 5100's installed by the dealer and the they had no problems with the front alignment. I don't off road in my truck but do a lot of driving in the snow up in the Sierra Nevada. So, for me this was a good compromise with regards to price and performance.

I apologize for the noob question. Are most people only doing the front shocks or doing all 4? Pros/Cons to either.

Thanks for the measurements, your one of the few who have reported back with 3rd gen specific #'s as of yet.

No problem. I'm very pleased with the 3rd gen 5100's. While the ride of a vehicle is subjective, I'd say that the 5100's set on the fourth notch is obviously stiffer than stock but not overly so. I like the stance of the truck with the front lifted 1.5". The sway bar position seems to be fine. The CV angle changed modestly with only the 1.5" lift. For a lot of people that aren't hard core off roaders and wanting to level their 3rd gen, I think this is going to be a pretty good option.

I agree, good option for a mild approach. If you would post up a side shot of your truck i would appreciate it. I'm planning on running the 4th notch also with a 1" rear block to keep the factory stance only slightly higher. Ordered a few days ago.

just paced my order from Headstrong. I'm planning on a 3rd notch install, possibly 4th if I feel its not quite looking beefy enough.

Front and back 5100's since Febuary. Never heard of a different 5100 for 3rd gen. Sounds like "back order" bs....
