Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

I will say that i was nervous about going the full 4 inches. Ive got a carport thats pretty low and i still wanted to fit. Well, its turns out i still have plenty of room and now Im actually looking to get a little more lift!!!

 

I'm at 7 in the front & 6 in the rear on 35's & still fit on the garage. When the wife's car isn't there that is. Haha

 

Luckily I do not have that problem yet. Still an apartment monkey

 

How will the ride quality be from stock coils with bilsteins on "0" to "0.85"?

 

I've read that the ride quality of 5100's on 0 is better than stock. I would imagine .85 isn't bad but you are compressing the spring to get the lift so it would be a little stiffer.

 

I'll set it "0" then. After driving around for a month on "2.5" , I think I damaged my back lol

Mine are at 2.5 & it doesn't bother me too much.

I've got a chance to get 2016 TRD OR front shock and coil assemblies from a local member for an incredible deal.....

Should I get them or should I get 5100's and use my stock coils??

Are you ever going to want to go higher than what the '16 struts & spindles will give you? Basically about 5"

 

I'm thinking at 5inches up front I will be where I want to be.

Just looking for a bit better ride quality than my stock SR5 struts give me.

I know it's kinda subjective to the driver, but still inquiring lol

 

I am under the impression that the 5100's and the 4600's are roughly the same ride quality.

 

I couldn't tell you if they ride better than 5100's but the guy in you thread seem to think they're kinda stiff.

 

Thanks yall. Pretty sure Im going to snag the 2016 stuff and use it. Then the Birthday, Christmas and Tax Return $$$$$$$$$ can go towards a new rear bumper!!

Sup Chad? Tit for tat. Save your money and get the good stuff. You prob won't notice a difference in ride quality. I personally don't like the any of the stock coilovers setups, let alone used suspension parts. Just my 2cents.

 

haha!!! Nah, unfortunately. I dont really see the need for me to cut up the bedsides and all that. Just a Brute Force Standard rear bumper. It will be way way waaaaaaaaaaay more clearance that my stock one though. Its got the tow hitch and pin relocated behind the plate.

 

Thats kind of how i feel to be honest....Always looking to save a dime really. I want some nice coilovers, but just dont want to pay to play lol

 

5100s with your stock coils would be a better option and they don't cost that much. Although I went straight to icons so I can't personally comment on ride quality. I do have a buddy with that setup at 0 and he claims it's nice.

 

I hear the 5100's are nice also. So many decisions lol.
