I drove up from Dallas and rode my bike up there over the weekend for the first time. I definitely plan on going back - really fun riding up there!

@ccallen does the Dakine flap allow use of the backup camera on the 3rd Gen? I know it does on a 2nd gen, but wasn't sure if the thicker 3rd Gen tailgate shifted the rear surface of the Dakine up or down and caused misalignment between two he tailgate handle/camera and the flap.

BTW I also like the Raceface pad but have never seen one on a 3rd Gen. I am so spoiled by the backup camera I would like it to work with the pad and bikes. I actually have a 1Up rack but locally I'd just like to throw the bikes over the gate and leave the rack at home unless the bed is filled with camping gear.

It does not work with the back up camera.

I have a access roll up cover and I use rocky mounts. They work great and I can lock the bike in the bed.

You have any issues with water when the cover is on? I'm looking between the access and truxedo. Which access do you have?

Do you know of any where you can use the backup camera? Not really a big deal but just curious.

Separate question (as an option- I currently have a Kuat NV rack that I bought for our VW Golf Sportwagen in a 1.25" hitch. The Taco receiver is 2"; does it make sense to just get a 1.25"/2" converter or try and sell and/or trade for a rack that is a 2" hitch? I had read separately that the 2" is way more secure than the 1.25" so I think I'd be more inclined to try and sell/trade for a 2" but curious to hear your opinions/experience if you've done the converter.

I have the access original roll up cover its the same as the limited edition just no cargo hook and lights. The only water that got in was through the gaps in the front of the bed, but that's the way the truck is made. I just sealed it with black silicone. I like the cover alot. Check out auto anything they had the best price and free shipping.

What rack is that? Works with tri-fold? Looks like it's not able to unfold without removing the crossbars? How does it work for you?

Trying to find one that can carry long loads like lumber, kayak and SUP's but still work with the trii-fold tonneau.

That's are newest offering. It works with the factory trifold, and others.

You can open it a little without removing the crossbar, but not all the way.

To remove the crossbar, you simply remove two knobs and it pops right off.

It's primary function is for bike racks, ski rack, cargo baskets, and of course, RTT's.

If you want something for carrying long lumber and such, try our bed rack.

We're also designing a headache rack that could be used for things like that.
