Maybe better 'cuz it don't kill rubber or plastic... but still likely won't last 5 minutes into your ride.

If one must insist... Silicone spray might quell that squeak for 5 minutes after being applied.
But don't expect that satisfaction to last long !? Lol

Factory bolt is 9/16 but that bolt required 'slight' boring out the oem hanger. it was just a hair too big. i made it fit, and it fits the bushings perfectly. might wanna give 1/2 a try but technically the 9 16 is the correct size

Didn't read it all but I'm sure it's been mentioned that wd40 is not lube, it's a penatrating oil

WD40 was born out of our space program. It was invented to prevent rust on the surface of the early Atlas launch vehicles. The fuel tank of the Atlas was fabricated out of stainless steel. In the presence of the Florida humidity it would rust quickly. WD40 prevented this from occurring.

In regards to the squeak fix...I can't find it now but I remember reading on TW about someone putting strips of bicycle tubing between each leaf and seemed to have fixed the sqeak issue.
I personally haven't tried it yet but i plan on it, before replacing them all together for AAL.

    If i remember correctly...
Jack up truck to take tension off springs.
Cut bicycle tubing to desired length and width (Not exceeding past the points of contact between metal on metal)
    Pry apart springs.(With Crowbar)
Slide pieces of rubber tubing between each spring. (Not sure if any adhesive is necessary or not to keep them in place. Maybe the weight/tension is enough)
Lower truck and hope for no squeaks!!
Hope this helps for anyone that was not aware of this option.

I would think that rubber would either work it's way out or just tear from the springs movements...! On other trucks I've owned, I used pieces of old forest fire-fighting hose...No rubber.. the hose is made to sweat and therefore not burn in a fire.... I just soaked the shit outta a few pieces of that stuff and slid them in there.... Worked for me..!! This was not extreme off roading though..!

You've got to be kidding me.... I find this just as I'm about to pull my leaf springs off and add plastic leaf liners. My squeaking appeared after adding an AAL, so I assumed it was the change of pressure in the individual springs that allowed dirt to work itself in. I've been dealing with it ever since, and would sometime spray some PB Blast all over the springs to give myself a few weeks of relief.

I guess I'll still go forward with the leaf liners and report back with the outcome. If it doesn't stop the squeaking, I'll install the greaseable bolts in the front bushings.

I cant believe squeaky leaf springs are still a thing with new gen Tacoma's. You would have thought they had it handled by now. Maybe they will come up with a non-squeak edition for $3 K more.

While I agree, its worth noting this is not just a Tacoma issue. Every leaf vehicle I've owned has squeeked. Its why you can find so many 'solutions' in the market.

Yeah, I've had a few trucks over the years, but none of them started squeaking right out of the box like my Tacoma. That was ten years ago. I'm just a tad surprised it still happens with the new rigs.

    all tore up already
id pay 3k today to get rid of all my squeaks and rattles. it would take new leaf packs with graphite paint, newly engineered clutch pedal assembly, new drivers door seat belt adjustment thingy, new front rad support bushings, and a few door seals.
