It kind of looks like an ARB that is a bit more modernized and doesn't stick out as far out front. They should ditch the giant DC cutout and make a spot for a light bar there instead. Good looking bumper though!

Not sure on the weight but it is a hefty mutha.. I wonder if the winch mount section could be made out of thick aluminum? That might be a cool option. Reason I mention it is the winch mount plates are super beefy.

    It is really well built.

I do! Its in TN still as I don't yet have a garage to keep it in here in CO. That was my life's work for about 15 years. Every last week was 6 days working on it and 1 day tearing it up again.

Oh Man, you gotta get that out here, but you knew that already... Where in Colorado are you? Have you heard of Rising Sun 4x4 club? They meet first Tuesday every month at Stevenson Toyota west, 7:30pm.

Im in Wheat Ridge for work, Littleton for living. I am still trying to learn places to go out here and still trying to meet people to go with. My Taco actually came from Stevinson West. I have plans for it but it is my only four wheeling truck right now so I have to be very kind to it. I am always looking for a group of people to get in with but I just hate being the stock guy that doesn't want to tear his shit up.
My other dilemma is that my trailer came with me and then got "stolen" by the city because it didn't have tags on it. They didn't accept my argument that the truck it was mated to was a TN truck and therefore the trailer didn't need tags. I then had to sell my tow truck because it wouldn't pass emissions and my STUPID HOA was threatening to tow it if I didn't get the tags renewed, which I couldn't. So on that note, I need a trailer and a tow truck and a garage. I wonder how these Tacos would do towing a crawler...?

Wow.. Can't believe they took your trailer. There are some mild dirt roads you could do stock. You should try to make the FJSummit in Ouray in July. You can do all those trails, except one stock. Colorado has over 300 dirt road passes to get out and explore. Check out the FJSummit.org page.

Towing.. I towed my offroad trailer they day I got my Taco, probably not the smartest idea. I noticed it a bit. I bet slow and steady your could tow but it would be a dog over I70 passes. I think the mass weight for towing is 7k lbs.

You should try to make the Rising sun meetings. Good guys there. Check out the website, Risingsun4x4club.org

Also, you could do most of Canyonlands in Utah and beef basin stock.

I actually went over Labor Day to Utah. I was afraid to get into Moab mainly because I was by myself. I am a DCLB so I wasn't sure what clearances I would have needed. We took the road along the Colorado River and then went up Shafers Switchback. That was fun.

Ive been playing around here just looking for camping spots. Doing Yankee and those spots. Ive found a few good spots to the south like Dakar Rd and the sort. I am in the mindset now I just want to get to do some trail riding/camping. My truck at home got to the point it was so built, it wasn't practical for just trail riding and camping.

Ill give those guys a try. Are you in that group? I do intend to lift the truck moderately but it will be many years before it goes beyond 3 inches and 33s. Right now I just want sliders, bumpers, springs and tires. Id like it to be more of an overlander than a crawler.

Thanks. We are actually working on a Stealth series of bumpers that will replace the DO with a light bar mount. We are not ones to copy others so we are working on a unique way to do this. We are also going to come out with a version of this bumper with the hoop as well.

Any idea of when you'll be releasing any of the stealth series of bumpers? The time is coming up pretty soon for me to pull the trigger on a bumper. I think you're front bumper for the 3rd gen is the best looking hands down, but now that you're working on some new designs.....I'll just wait til you release and make my decision then......

    Great looking stuff.

I don't care for the "DO" in the middle, but I hate that sh*t on any truck product.

Can you order it without the letters?

Hey man, did a damn good job. Been looking at my bumper for a solid 8 hours deciding if i should buy it and try cutting it up, but keep chickening out. Had a few questions, Is your Tacoma Lifted? what Size tires? I really want the Demello Bumper sense I had it on my 2015 before i ran it off a bridge, but the instillation looks risky with this one. How did you deal with the wheel well plastic? Did you take it all out? cut it? I had to zip tie it on my 2015 was wondering if the same will have to be applied.

Do you have any pictures or a link to the clamps you used to secure the OEM fog lights? I just ordered the bumper and would like to do the same thing. Thanks much! Nice job!
