OEM Oil Filter for 2017 Tacoma 2TRFE (4 Cyl)

    Good morning , awesome forum you have here.
    Just trying confirm Toyota OEM Oil Filter for 2017 TRFE 2.7L is
    $54 90915-YZZD1 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)
    90915-YZZD1.
    Did visual of filter but the last five digits are blocked from view.
    I can see the 90915 part.
    It seems that most websites and dealers are not up to date on 2017 parts list.
    One dealer was about to sell me an element filter, when obviously this takes a canister filter.

    $54 90915-YZZD1 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)
    90915-YZZD1 is the right filter, but many use the
    $54 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)
    90915-YZZD3 for the larger filter area.

    Does your G2 say 'made in USA'?

    Have you ever cut one open?

    Does it look similar to a Purolator?

    I have a '15 2TR-FE and the dealer is using the G2.

    Trying to figure out which filter to buy a case of when my freebie (and less than pleasant or convenient) dealer oil changes end in 6 months.
