    2018 Ford Ranger Engine Specs
This internationally 2018 Ford Ranger variant will derive its power from four distinctive unit options. One of the options will be that of a five cylinder 2.5 liter engine that is said to be capable of an output of upwards of 164 horsepower and 166 pounds per feet of torque. Another option for automotive buyers will be that of a four-cylinder turbo diesel 2.2 liter unit that will be capable of either 158 horsepower and 284 pounds per feet of torque or 129 brake horsepower and heightened fuel economy. Experts within the industry contend that the strongest power offering will be that of a five cylinder turbo diesel that will deliver upwards of 197 horsepower and 347 pounds per feet of torque. All of the units will be smartly mated with an automatic six speed gearbox and couple with both rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Industry insiders that are fairly close to the automotive giant proclaim that the forthcoming model variant of the Ford Ranger will bolster heightened fuel economy ratings. Additionally, the vehicle will find itself outfitted with start/stop technology that are said to increase the fuel economy figures by an impressive 3.5%.

The base pricing for the 2018 Ford Ranger is believed to lie within the range of $23,000 and $36,000.

looks like a ridgeline/colorado mix.... either way it will sell. Ford trucks always do well.

Agreed. Plenty of blind Ford buyers, just like blind Taco buyers

This is competative. It's beating the Tacoma, but you know Ford's got a lot of pride....they'll push the Ranger to the Taco numbers in a heartbeat.

It has been widely rumored that the interior of the compact truck will present as simpler as well as more car-like than before. The instrument panel will host an eight inch touch screen display while the materials used within the cabin will differ from its predecessors. The infotainment system has been said to have been revised and consumers will be presented with parking sensors and a rearview camera for enhanced safety.

I've never like the Ranger, but all the ones I've driven have always been solid. (I've never owned one)

Not a fan of the center column control center aesthetic, but the rest of it seems to be nicely appointed.

See I don't get this. Build your truck for truck people. Let car people buy cars. If you close the dynamic you limit the sales potential.

    But what do I know?

I love the basics of my truck and use it as such.

Car people are buying Trucks. That is the bread and the butter of the sales.
