Best set up for a 4 banger

So I have a 05 Prerunner, single cab, manual, stock everything. One problem....I don't know squat on lifting set ups or anything I do however would like to lift my truck...and some bad ass rims with tires

What is the best set up out there? I went to a local truck performance store and got quoted like 3 grand ...I was shocked...it included what was the lift kit rims and tires...but I would rather ask you guys and guide me.

Can someone tell me what set up will look good? and about how much am i looking at...and also pics of people that have set ups on their 4 bangers will help also

That sounds about right. My lift was $500 and my wheels/tires where $2000. After taxes it was about $2800.
I did a Daystar coil over lift with KMC Wheels and Nitto tires

 

Do you offroad a lot? Is the truck a daily driver? Are you planning on offroading at all?
All these are factors you need to consider.
Somebody else is going to chime in and ask you the same question in about 2 seconds. But it all revolves around those first questions

Well. If it's your daily driver and you don't plan on offroading a lot may I suggest the toytec ultimate lift kit? it's a little over a grand, but it's a 3" lift, tires, BFG All terrains, wheels...that's up to you,

OME 884 would work well for you and it is cheaper than the ultimate lift kit. Link to both below: Billy 5100's is the cheapest way to go besides spacers, but I hear spacers are the devil. Also consider the fact the bigger the tire is, the more often you visit the gas station, and the slower your truck performs.

 

well there is alot of different ways to lift your truck but if your not going to do much off roading and its your DD.

then IMO a cheap easy way to go is the readylift and its about $330+shipping for your truck

and with that id go with some 32's or maybe 33's

I agree with 505 if its your DD and you're looking to get a decent lift for a moderate price just go with the spacers and shackles since you dont really need the performance and the spacers aren't "supposed to" change the factory ride and suspension to a great degree. I would def go with some AT tires. It will give your truck that aggressive look. I have 33's on my 5 Lug Non-pre taquito and it doesnt effect my mpg to a great extent. But when it really comes to it, do what will make you happy!

 

The Ultimate Kit is our premier kit, do it right the first time. Basically replaces everything except the rear leaf pack, is $1150.

yeah thanks for all he replies ...now not to be too demanding but does anybody have pictures?....and man...so much to so as far as upgrades...i'm gonna have to really think about what set up to go for....thanks again guys...I'll keep you guys posted.
