The Perrin gauge pod is a little tight. Scratched my cluster rings twice. The first was with the bolts on back of the gauges. So next time around I cut them off and taped the studs. Second time squeezing the pods in, some how managed to lightly scratch them again. You want about an inch clearance in front of the pods for the bezels. Still think they turned out great. Just time consuming on the install. The pods are tapered smaller in front larger in the rear. The inserts that come with them are thick tubing ends that are little hard to get in. You must insert gauges into pod with wires(only downside no disconnect in rear if gauges) then from the back side slide insert slightly over gauge then while pulling gauge slightly out of front of the pod push on insert and gauge. Had to do it a few times to line up gauges just right.IMG_1539.jpg

Just finished the bully tune. I too had the mislabeled file from the initial download. Once I found my battery charger and let it sit on the car to hit 12.1v, the install went clean and easy.

I will likely go with the TRD flash. I just don't think this bully dog tune is working correctly. If it is, then I have other problems :(
Do you know who specifically has had the TRD flash done on their Magnuson SC? I would like to hear how things went for them. Thanks.

Who warns that the TRD flash does not work? Why wouldn't it? I am finishing my install today and I plan to get it flashed at the dealer.

Sorry to hear. It sounds like I am not the only one having issues. I am going to test fuel pressure under boost to verify it is not a fuel delivery problem. Unfortunately, I won't be able to mess with the truck again until next weekend due to some other obligations.

Keep us updated if your dealer will do the flash for you and if so, how it works out.

It will be interesting to hear if others have any issues as they get theirs installed. In a way I hope they do, I know that sounds bad but I want to know that it isn't hardware based issues.

Good to hear. Does your acceleration feel smooth? Auto or manual?

Everything feels smooth on the shifts. They just come a little sooner then i expected (2.85 pulley set on performance shifts) doesn't bother me. Auto trans. Haven't really punched it just yet. And I definitely need brakes. It's almost scary.

It's normal to hear the coolant run through the charger right? It just sounds different.

Mine does it as soon as I turn the key to on. It seems to run as long as it is on.

Yes, and even when your truck is off you'll hear it kick on from time to time.

Yes, I've gone out into the garage several minutes after shutting off the engine and found it running.

Nothing to be concerned about, folks!
