How much/hard is it to put a locker in? Don't the SR5's come with no flares? That's a big plus to me...

I think the total set up for a ARB air locker is around 1500...I did not even think about that, I like the flairs! I think the SR5 is starting to lose out, the payments will not even be affected that much by the extra for the TRD OR..

I did front and rear ARB air lockers in my first gen. I don't remember what I paid, but it was in the thousands. The install costs as much if not more than the lockers, and then you need an OBA setup to run the lockers. ARB air lockers are the only lockers you would want.

That is a lot of money I could use on amour and suspension for a OR. I never thought I would be leaning toward an OR!

I would equally say Off Road if the cost of lockers offsets the cost savings of buying SR5 vs. OR. If you still come out under the price of an OR after lockers in an SR5 I'd buy that one. Just me personally.

I do not have any official numbers yet, I am doing a lot of research this time. I would like to know what I want before talking with the dealership, I can care less about how they will try to persuade me.

in a 2017 go OR all the way and don't look back.

for a 2015, go with a DCLB Limited for the heated seats, homelink and JBL. Then add a killer ADS suspension and Magnuson supercharger............ :burnrubber::D

why would you not buy the OR? honestly the locker is worth all of that money to not have to fuck with it! the A-trac is another really awesome feature and has worked well for me the 2 times ive had use it. The ARB air locker setup for the locker alone and the hardware neccessary is $1500 plus on board air plus the labor to have it installed... so $1500 pluss minimum of $400 for on board air setup. plus install money....so.... to me that makes the decision. and i do not have black fender flares and i have the offroad.

Didn't the fender flare situation change on the third gens though? I haven't seen any with black flares.

I agree! I believe he's talking about 16+ when it comes to the fender flares.

Edit: I also haven't seen any with black flares.
