New to both Tacoma's and Trucks but so far I love this thing.[IMG][/IMG] Since getting the Taco about 2 months ago I have taken off the bed to paint the frame. Found 1 rust hole and fixed it along with cleaning all surface rust off before painting the whole thing with Chassis Saver paint. Wile i was doing the painting I replaced my shocks and bought new hardware to attach the bed along with a new rear bumper. I Just got the truck back from my friend yesterday, he stripped the rocker panels down and fixed the rust. He repainted and added some chip resistant protection. I will be spraying the underside with fluid film this weekend.

Future plans:
3in OME suspension lift
1in body mount lift
33in tires
softtopper or can-back
factory e locker swap from later model TRD
off-road front bumper
custom satoshi style grill
light bar with slang mounts
hitch D-ring

Sweet truck! Nice job on the frame. Seems like that had all kinds of crazy colors in the 95.5-97 years of the Tacoma.

A buddy of mine used to have one of those. We called it the Barney truck. Last I saw that thing, it was over 330K miles with only one timing belt change.

lol I wouldn't really consider my truck poverty spec. I have a tac, I have cruse control, steering wheel tilt, alloy wheels, my truck came with the chrome package, and I have AC.

Thanks I love this color. Hopefully getting a soft top, light bar, and a d ring hitch adapter within the next month.

Then are you sure you are a DLX and not a SR5?

What does it say on the title if it's a DLX? I just assumed it was because of the decal on the tailgate

Title here doesn't say model number. I looked mine up by the VIN

Vin search says extended cab SB. Can't find any DLX info by searching the vin.
