    I pointed mine at the garage door straight on and the drivers side was pointing down lower than the passenger side, I covered up the passenger side with card board and went to work cranking on those cogs up and down and sideways back and forth... cranked the hell out of em I did and nothing happened... dont know what else to do, mine down adjust.

    +1 on a (mostly) lack of adjustment. I used a cordless drill (slow speed) and I can see the housings move, but VERY slowly and VERY little. This was after maybe 40/50 revolutions of the drill head (horizontal adjustment as that is my issue). What movement can be seen in the housings has no visible change in the beam behavior - against a wall or down a pitch black road lined with trees.

    I'm heading to the dealer next... not sure what else to do.

    @bluezzy

    Verticals -- It took about (1) full turn on each adjuster to bring my lights down about 2" (at 25ft out). With adding some weight to rear recently, I was starting to get flashed a bit. That 2" lowering put my beams on the wall at the same height as the truck light center...so I should be good to go.

    Horizontal -- I pulled those plastic black covers off this time (had been on previously and I was using a large phillips bit) and rotated the adjusters by hand. I think in previous attempts (with a phillips bit), the bit was not always engaging so the movement was reduced. Turning by hand and still watching the light housing, the movement was faster per turn. That said, I took turns covering one light while I rotated the other. I saw very little change against that same wall. I then went back to the same dark, tree-lined road and repeated the horizontal sweep - one light at a time. I can say I noticed some difference as I swept each light. The amount of change was not impressive, but it was there. So I set the horizontals adjustment to about middle on each light and called it good.

    At this point, I am not going to the dealer. I am chalking the issue up to a less then impressive light pattern output by design. Additionally, I have a 2013 4Runner (different OEM headlights than the Tacoma) that have great pattern output and I was assuming the Tacoma would have a like output pattern.

    Update -- After driving around for a bit, setting horizontal adjustment 'halfway' did improve the high beam pattern. It's not as good as my 2013 4Runner (oem lights), but it is better.

    When going aftermarket on headlight housings i always get TYC, used them on several vehicles, in my opinion, just as good as OEM

    [IMG] For bulbs i use REAL dual HID bulbs, meaning each bulb has TWO seperate HID filaments. One for low beam and one for hi beam. Each bulb needs 2 ballasts. And i did hi beam mod, so when i turn on my brights both hid filaments in each bulb are lit up. Can you say DAYLITE :) Bulbs are type H4-4
