Hi all! I have been lurking here reading up for some time but have never actually posted before. Thanks for all the great information!!

I have a 2007 TRD Sport Double Cab SWB 4x4. Bone stock at this point other than a Snugtop topper. Sockmonkey bedside decals on the way!

I have 35k on the original tires so it is time for new ones. While I am at it I was thinking about getting some new rims. I like most black rims out there but it seems like most people on the board have a lift with bigger tires etc than what I could handle.

So... here is what I am thinking... thoughts? Pictures of Similar? I would like the rims/tires to stick out a few inches so I want to make sure that the offset/backspacing is right on the rims.

    Tires: 265/75-R16 - General Grabber AT-2
Rims: XD Enduro, ATX Mojave, ATX Chamber... other similar perhaps cheaper?

In the most generic sense of the request, black rims, no lift. See sig.

Looks good! I wish they had that color back in 2007!

I thought about just painting my rims too but I don't like the sport rims and then that doesn't help me with the wider stance that I was looking for.

What's up BoulderTaco! I'm thinking about black rims down the road too but don't have any pics. Sorry.

I've seen a couple other trucks in town with black rims, seem to be a lot of pro comp, moto, and xd's.

Here is mine with 16" black steel rims all stock suspension. I use them with my winter tires. Probably the cheapest route you can go other then painting stock rims. They were 60 cdn each last year. They don't look too horrible

This is just the thread I was looking for. I want the exact same setup as sockmonkey has posted here. I also have a stock no lift suspension, 2011 TRD DC and no mudflaps. My current tires are 265/70R16, will going to the 265/75R16 be ok? What do I gain, a taller tire?

Also, I was going to order via Tire Rack already mounted with sensors. Can/Do I use the original lugs? Do I need any concentric adapters? And what is the procedure for getting the TPMS sensors synced/setup?

Tire Rack doesn't show for the 2011, but I guess it's afe to assume getting the 2010 is the same...

    Thanks!

Heres mine even though I do have 5100s on it lifting it 1.75" in the front, the 265/75/r16 BFGs will fit no problem under stock suspension. 16" FJs and BFG A/T KOs

    OK, two things:

    1. Sock, it must suck to have such a great looking truck, because everyone (including me) is going to copy it...minus the window shields. :)
    2. The pressurized container idea is awesome. I'm probably just painting my steelies this winter when I get new tires, but next year I'll be looking at wheels and remembering this trick. Nice, and thanks for the pic, info and link.
