So, I bought my 2016 TRD Sport AC, V6, 4x4, with tow package because I bought a house in the country and needed a truck. I had zero plans to ever modify it. But then I found Tacoma World, and it seems I've started make some minor mods, so, I thought I should document them. Not sure how far this is going to go, so I'll call it a journey, and not a build.

Here she is the day I brought her home:

Next was a WeatherTech Bug Deflector, OEM rubber mats, and mud flaps.

Then I decided to add some custom bling. I found @CBoy808 and got him to help me out. Here are the results:

Then I found the Northern Virginia Roll Call thread, and met some local guys that were into off-roading, and having always wanted to do that, started to do some research, and decided that I wanted to tag along on a trail run at some point. (which I am doing and is tomorrow as I type this).

In the meantime, since I was really not digging the cheese-grater grille, and it went from chrome to dipped to a TRD Pro grille, and then I painted the letters:

    Dipped_Grille.jpg

So then in preparation for the trail run I removed the damn air dam and mud flaps (I'll put the flaps back on after the run, not so for the air dam), and installed a set of ditch lights.

So that's where she sits now. We'll see what's next.

Do you know how much more badass your rig would be without the Steelers horseshit on the back? :smack:

For a new gen, your truck looks awesome as it sits! Always a fan of black though

Thanks. I think the pro grille adds a nice touch from the cheese grater.

Yeah... But I like the old school look. Thinking about taking the letters off and painting them. What do you folks think?
