Gotta keep that pimp hand strong, playa.

Aside from my office and the garage, my wife has the rest of the house. My pimp hand is kinda gimp but I can use it as a club when necessary.

For those who've done their install already, can you confirm whether this is a complete list of "additional" parts required? Anything else we should have on-hand?

    ...too much shit to list.
Get a new serpentine belt and change it. It's a pain in the dick to change once you get the superchager in.

You probably won't need the clips for the grill or the bumper cover, unless yours are old and brittle. One of those seals I did not use (don't remember which one) and there is one thermostat seal that I ended up re-using because I didn't realize I would need it.

So I'm getting the supercharger installed tomorrow. I was hoping to get my AFE Dry filter before the install, but it won't be in till later. So my current intake has the oiled AFE filter. I've heard mixed results. Do you guys think it would be safe running for a day and then swap out? Would I risk ruining the MAF? Issue is I have to drop the truck off about 134 miles away... I could swap out the filter when I pick it up...Any thoughts guys?

Also on a related note, the reason I'm driving a bit out of the way is because the install is a flat $860. And they will warranty their work, as well as Toyota will honor the warranty on my truck without question. I verified with a Toyota Rep as well. Couldn't say no.

Question regarding the urd tcai. Is the maf calibration necessary? I purchased it but now I'm not sure it's needed. Then trying to figure out tuning. I think I'm getting in over my head.

I think you will benefit from having the MAF tuner with the TCAI. Not a need but if you are going that route might as well get the most benefit from it. It would be helpful if @Gadget from URD joined this thread.

That's a great deal for install especially compared to what some others are being quoted. Where's this shop at?

I know it's not exactly the same, but Cliffy over at FJ Cruiser Forums got his installed and seems to be working fine according to him. You can take a look at the thread here:

    http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...supercharger-hand-now-what-4.html#post8013874

He did spend some time on the phone with Bully Dog.

I'm just hoping I can figure out the tuning aspect on top of the bully dog tune. It'll be a blank map and was told by gadget I'd have to do additional tuning on top of the bully dog.

Sure was a lot simpler in the days of jets, springs, and adjusting screws. We didnt need AFR gauges, we adjusted based on how the car felt lol.

Question on how you torqued the crankshaft pulley bolt. How did you keep the pulley from moving when you torque the bolt? I have all the belts on so at least everything is spinning together.

Not sure what the tool is called. I used some bolts and a serpentine belt tool. Rested it against the frame
Edit - pulley holder is the name

It's actually in Maine. I'm in NH, but I think it might be a bit far for you...

Haha yeah...I'm already supercharged but I'm always looking for a good shop that knows their way around one, surprisingly few here in SoCal. Even had a local Toyota dealership tell me that they wouldn't touch it (and mine is TRD branded). I mostly want to have a place I trust ready to do the work when the time comes to do a rebuild.
