I got hit by a semi pulling dual trailers last year. it was the only intersection with out cctv cameras or I would have an awesome video.

the truck had a red light for 7 seconds. I was about 50 yards back when I got a green light there was a truck next to me it slammed on its brakes as soon as it hit the intersection. I just passed the windshield looked to my right and oh shit this semi truck comes through the intersection like a freight train. I hit the brakes enough not to go under the front wheel. I didn't want to hit the second wheel because that was bad too I turned the bike enough hit the gas, to hit the third tire. I knew if I missed I was going under the trailer. I hit the gas to hit the truck as hard as i could to bounce off. as I hit the tire I said yeeeeees. Then i hit the trailer got thrown up in the air I remember being tossed around in the air i could hear but not see anything i was half blacked out, then I landed and waited to hear crunching noises of me being crushed by the truck.

Hey I made it no crunching sound I was dragged away from the truck after hitting the ground. I got up someone said in broken English lay down I said no dead people lay down I said pick up my bike I'm ok I'm going to go see my kids.
I took off my jacket and full face helmet with help the ambulance was there in 2 minutes they looked at me and thought I was going to die I was in the emergency room 7 minutes after the accident. full rideing gear full face helmet. Injuries were fractured face big gash above my eye 25 stitches to close it. my right arm was amputated inside the skin.

Here are the beauty pics . the truck that hit me my room in the hospital (third world country style) and the pins they used to hold my arm on while it healed.

Awesome doctors and staff to say the least. yes all happened in thailand. without a helmet ide be dead without a jacket ide be dead my arm would have been ripped off and I would have bled to death in a couple of minutes. something on the side if the truck penitent Ed the face shield and cut me and fractured my face. yes I still ride.

    Sex tourism has its price.

Glad you're (kind of) OK OP.

I don't even trust drivers in Vancouver. I would never ride a bike in Thailand. You're a brave man.

Here are a few facts about thailand.

Pedophiles get the death sentence and it gets carried out by he prisoners.

Drugs can get you a life sentence. about 2 months ago a non Thai was sentenced to life for having 67 pills in his apartment.

Gambling is a big no no. I think it will get you a 10 year stay the all you can eat rice buffet.

Guns are legal with a permit ahhhhh but the cost an ar15 is
    $7000 a colt 45 $1500 to $2000 50 reloaded rounds of 9mm cost $100.

Besides that it is America 1970 with beautiful beaches I know all the neighbors it is what America use to be

they say its not if you will dump the bike, but when. I love ridding, miss it, had a very minor accident, but enough that I can't ride the bike. It was my fathers old bike, and the insurance "totaled" it, so he walked away with the check and I got a bike that needs rebuilding (someday)

    Thanks

PS used to work there for short periods and have friends there now .... just have not spent long periods of time there, especially recently

Ratchaburi is where some of my friends live.

Your accident is why I don't ride ... I would not make it on a big bike. Lol

How did you do your medical if I may ask?

That seems to be my big hang up to me living there full time .

    Thanks

My friend that passed away about 4 years ago ... lived in Phuket ... he taught the King's son to skydive about 15 years ago ... now that son is the new King.

I have no connections there except with my friends in the military and the food business.
