    Get the Ridgeline instead.
Sounds like its just what you need.
    Gas mileage is fantastic.

When did the diesel twins become 6 cylinder diesels?

They are. What if the OP drives 5 hours and finds out he got wood on a 6 banger gas Colorado with $9,000 off?

For being a leasing agent (as noted a million times on this board) he sure does suck at paperwork.

9k off seems a bit high for a that truck, if it was a Silverado than that would make more sense. Something is not adding up. I have a friend that has a gas version and he only got 3200 off only a few months ago. These trucks actually sell
Pretty good so I'm not sure why any dealer would be willing to sell for that low. Just saying. It smells like a possible waste of time. I would get some email confirmations on that price.

I disagree because I think you overpaid for your Tacoma. MSRP is a joke, you never negotiate from the top (MSRP) down, you negotiate from the bottom (true dealer cost) up.

I can tell you from experience and I have stated I loved my 16 Tacoma but seat position wasn't comfortable. I was getting right at 20 mpg and I was fine with that and would be fine with 17 or 18 for that matter for me because I like the Tacoma. That said I drive exact same with this diesel z71 and I am getting at least 28 and many weeks I average 30. Best I did in Tacoma was 21.3. I would say in my driving I am getting a solid 8 mpg better. If that is important that is fact. Towing a 4k bass boat I get 19. It is a nice truck and its been good truck. If I was you and I was comfortable in the Tacoma for me id keep it but mpg is not a huge deal for me even though I do 700 miles a week. If you want the mpg then swap and if not happy with the shifting and how it works on hyw I can say the diesel is much smoother in power and gears and holds them. If I could get the Tacoma to work for me in seat comfort id trade my Colorado back for one because I liked it better still in looks interior and I like Toyota.

I don't know anything about Chevy.

That said, just because something sells doesn't mean it isn't discounted. There are reports of 2500-3300$ on this forum for 2017 Tacomas. And they can't make those fast enough...

I don't know, I looked at this and did a deal on it, got it lower than the then $5000 off but I liked the Ridgeline better for my usages.
