    6 inch lift on a 05 SR5 TSS
    6 inch Procomp Lift, 35 inch Mud Terrains.
    Trying to save money with gas prices ($4.00) so should I get Nitto Mud Grapplers($1,060) for my 18's or Procomp Mud Terrains with new 16 in. rims($1,572)? :confused:

    Tough choice. Pro comp tires are junk (in my experience), and the Nitto Muds wear out fast (20,000 miles is all they lasted my buddy). :confused:

    just a thought...but if youre trying to save money in fuel costs...wouldnt it serve you better to NOT get a heavy tread tire and get something with a little less rolling resistance?

    Dude get some Toyo open Country M/T's they are awesome 2nd set and I got like 45,000 out of them they are the best looking tire out there and pretty dam quiet too :D

    I have the mud grapplers with about 23k miles i have about another 15k easy. If you got 20k out of them must been a full size or f250 truck i can believe that and have seen that. I dont drive like grandma either and it texas the heat does not help these soft tires. They are loud going down the highway at 70. They kick a$$ in the mud.

    Exactly, if your wanting to save money why would you buy mud tires? They are heavy, ruin your gas mileage, and are expensive.

    If you off road and want to save money on tires and gas, get some decent A/Ts (BFGs or Nitto Terra Grapplers). Not mud tires.

    go with a all terrain tire, better gas mileage and they last longer. Im partial to BF Goodrich. The are the best i have tried.

    but no matter what tire you go with the bigger the rim you get the worst MGP your gonna get. Just me exp.

    Sorry not trying to hijack the thread here...

    But a few people recommended Toyos M/T for this gent's 18". Do Toyos M/T even come in a size that will fit our Tacoma with a 3" lift?

    as far as i know... an actual tire size wasnt mentioned, just a diameter? :confused:

    their 18" diamter sizes are ...

    275/70R18 which is 33.6 x 11

    33x12.50R18

    285/75R18 (34.1x11.6)

    35x12.50R18

    then 37 and 38" diamter

    im thinkin about buyin the cooper discoverer sst's or maybe some super swamper tsl radial's for my next tires. i have pro comp m/t's and they seem to be wearing kinda fast

    cant expect much from a mud terrain tread. either of those you mentioned wont wear any better either.

    dont buy a mud terrain and expect all terrain tread life out of them. ;)
